Culiacan lies in north western Mexico and has a population of roughly 675,000 people and is the largest city in the state of Sinaloa. It’s found where the rivers Humaya and Tamazula meet. Restaurant Huy Fong serves inexpensive meals from the hours of 8:30 am to 8 pm, while all-you-can-eat buffets are available in Restaurant China-loa. You shouldn’t have any problem finding authentic Mexican cuisine around the city, in either restaurants or road-side carts and even in the markets. Trek about and choose your own favourite venues or ask casino staff to suggest popular places nearby.

Attractions/NightLife

Like any large city, there’s plenty of bars and clubs about. Options include Penthouse Klub and O’Lydia Discoteque for dancing, while live music can be found in Kuwa. Be sure to watch the Dancing Fountain, a water display set to energizing music and lights. If you happen to be travelling with family, head to Splash Club, a water park. Religious sites in the city include La Lomita (or Templo de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe), tallest church in Culiacan. Nearby parks include Las Riveras Park, Isla de Oraba Park, Revolucion Park and Ernesto Millan Escalante Park Other attractions in the city include the Constitucion Civic Center, Estadio Angel Flores, the local baseball stadium, the Regional History Museum and the Botanical Garden and Centro de Ciencas de Sinaloa. When you’re looking for hot spots of activity and shopping, try Forum Culiacan Mall (largest mall in the city), Plaza Galerias San Miguel (2nd largest), Plaza Fiesta or Plaza Cinepolis.
