Casino de Saint Gervais les Bains

Saint-Gervais-les-Bains is a French commune located in the department of Haute-Savoie in the region of Rhone-Alpes. Locals are called Saint-Gervolains or Saint-Gervelains. Probably the most famous landmark of the town is Mont Blanc. Head to Le Nid d’Aigle (the Eagle’s Nest). Sitting 2362 m above sea level and just below the Bionassay glacier, you can enjoy hiking and climbing and breah-taking panoramic views. The town itself is quite scenic as well. For its green areas and beautification efforts, the town was awarded 4 flowers in the France Ornate competition of Cities and Villages in Bloom.

Look for hotel restaurants, or prepare to purchase groceries and plan your own meals if you and the family intend on renting out a chalet for a week’s stay.

All your favourite cocktails can be found in Le Poker, the casino bar. Local bars include Pur Bar and M Le Vin. Look for various live entertainment acts within the casino. Be sure to ask about thei events calendar. If in the area during the summer, watch for the Music Festival of Saint-Gervais, held in July. Visit the Church of Saint-Nicolas-de-Veroce, dating back to the 11th century and cited a historical monument in 2006. Check out various textiles and vestments in the Museum of Scared Art of Saint-Nicolas. During days, stroll through various green areas like parks and gardens, which helped earn the town 4 flowers.
