The Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino offers up 255 of your favourite classic and video slots machines ranging in denominations from one cent to $5 and 30 video poker terminals. There are 21 table games including blackjack, craps, let it ride, 3 card, Caribbean stud, baccarat, Texas Hold’em and roulette. Casino hours are noon to 4 am daily.

The hotel has 357 guest rooms with 32” lcd tvs with cable/satellite, air conditioning, and 24 hour room service. Room types are extensive and come in ocean or island view, pool view, ocean front, garden view, standard, family suite, Regency Club, Sunset Suite, Cayena Suite, Governors Suite, Orquidea Suite and Trinitaria Suite. Indoor/outdoor venues include ballrooms, function rooms and a beach. Additional facilities include a business centre, shops and a market, spa, pool and fitness centre. The resort has its own restaurants and bars on site.

Dining

If you’re interested in contemporary cuisine (steaks and seafood) try Ruinas del Mar (Ruins by the Sea). Ask about their Sunday brunch. Palms Restaurant, located on the beachfront, has an open kitchen and such menu items as yellowfin tuna, blackened fish tacos, Caribbean jerk chicken and sesame seared grouper. For light snacks and drinks, there’s Balashi Bar and Grill, with its in-pool seating. Footprints Beach Grill serves up fine dining and 4 course dinners. This exclusive restaurant has only 5 tables each evening. If you’re interested in Mexican cuisine try Mexicado. Ask about their tequila cocktails. Find your own quaint venue in town dishing up authentic Caribbean cuisine.

Entertainment/Nightlife

Hang out at Alfresco Bar with its gardens and water-playground view. Enjoy island cocktails and live entertainment. Palm Beach, Aruba Bar serves up beer, wine and spirits in a sophisticated club environment. Piet’s Pier Bar is a casual setting to enjoy sunsets and sip your favourite drink. The casino runs daily scheduled activities. Take part in beach and water sports, play tennis or basketball, or hang poolside at their 3 level pool with slide and waterfalls or work out in the fitness centre. Hit the beach for sunning, snorkelling, swimming and scuba diving. Shop on site or in town. Spoil yourself in the spa. The casino features ‘Carnival in Rio’ nightly, with dancing and music and live entertainment Tuesday through Sunday.
