Microgaming is one of the most popular online casino platforms in the world. There are dozens of well known sites that are licensees. Microgaming spreads a wide variety of table games and roulette is no different. Unfortunately, Microgaming is not available to U.S. players.
The minimum roulette bet at most Microgaming sites is €1. The maximum wager accepted on number bets is €125 at most sites. Columns have a max of €875, while even money wagers have a cap of €1,000.
Microgaming allows players to enjoy a live casino experience. A dealer calls the number of the well the ball landed in on each spin. There is also the sound of chips being won and wagered. You can choose to watch the ball spin and bounce on the wheel, just like in a real casino, or remove all animation and see your winner instantly. All of these features may be turned off if you prefer a faster or silent game. You can increase the game speed even more by using the rebet button to make the same wagers as the previous spin.
European Roulette
European Roulette has just one zero on the wheel. All bets have a 2.7% house edge. This game is often called “Single Zero Roulette” in live casinos because it does not feature the la partage or en prison rule for even money bets.
European Roulette Gold
European Roulette Gold offers all of the same bets and rules as the standard game with a few additional wagers. This game offers the racetrack that allows for neighbor and announced bets.
Premier Roulette
Premier Roulette is another way to play Microgaming’s version of European Roulette. It displays different felt and wheel animation.
French Roulette
French Roulette offers a rule often found in live European Roulette games. Any even money bet returns half of the wager if the ball lands in the 0 well. This is called “la partage”. The bets affected are red/black, odd/even and high/low. The house edge is lowered to 1.35% on these bets. The felt also offers Voisins du Zéro, Jeu Zero, Le Tiers du Cylindre, Orphelins, Finale, and Neighbors that are unique to French Roulette games at Microgaming.
Multi Wheel Roulette
Multi Wheel Roulette offers the ability to bet on multiple wheels at the same time. Players may decide to turn on as many as eight wheels on every spin. The game plays with the same rules as European Roulette except that bets placed are multiplied by the number of wheel chosen by the player. All roulette wheels spin at the same time and the balls drop quickly to decide the winning wagers. The bet range for this game is €1- €50.
American Roulette
American Roulette is the worst version of the game available at Microgaming casinos. There are two zeros on the wheel. This makes the house edge on all but one bet 5.26%. There is a 5-number bet in American Roulette that is not available on single zero roulette wheels that includes 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3. This wager has a 7.89% house advantage. Microgaming offers far better roulette games than this one so we suggest avoiding it and choosing one of the other options.
Multiplayer Roulette
Microgaming offers Multiplayer Roulette in both American and European wheels. Up to seven players may sit at the same table simultaneously. A live dealer handles the action and all players can see the wagers of other participants.
