  • I go for Lakers!  :P

I want them to wim AGAIN! haha

  • the road to the championship goes through cleveland, and no one is gonna beat the cavs this year.

  • I agree with max1mike. Cavs all the way. Lebron is the best player ever, besides MJ of course, but I think Lebron will be the best of all by the time he retires.

  • Cavs will take it.

But I dissagree with whitespade. Its close but Kobe is better than Lebron and far closer in style to MJ.

  • Kobe is a great player but he has never had the kind of overall game that The King has (scoring, rebounding, assists, defense). I also think that he tries to copy MJ's style TOO MUCH. Being from Chicago- I find that kind of offensive. I would also say that Scottie Pippen was a way better player than Kobe, overall. But I am from Chicago lol.

  • There have been confirmed reports that the Cavs have been negotiating a deal with the Phoenix Suns to get Amare Stoudemire :o. OMG! That would be scary!

NBA trade deadline is Feb. 18th.

  • The Plain Dealer is reporting the Cleveland Cavaliers are in negotiations to acquire Suns All-Star forward Amare Stoudemire.

Citing multiple league sources, the report confirms a meeting between Cavs general manager Danny Ferry and Suns GM Steve Kerr Friday afternoon in Dallas.

According to the paper, sources indicated the Cavs and Suns have been discussing a deal involving the five-time All-Star for nearly a month.

The two teams have collaborated on deals before, including a trade that sent Shaquille O'Neal to Cleveland in the summer of 2009.

In recent weeks, Stoudemire has heard his name pop up in one trade rumor after another. Suns coach Alvin Gentry had a discussion with his big man before the Suns' victory over the Nuggets last week about all the speculation, reminding Stoudemire the situation is completely out of his control.

"I told him he's got to try to put it behind him and move on because whatever happens is going to happen," Gentry said after the game. "It always happens this time of year, there's someone that's always the talk -- it just happens to be him this year."

What's fueling the trade rumors is the fact that Stoudemire can opt out of the final year of his deal after the season. The Suns could decide to trade Stoudemire to get some value from him rather than let him walk away.

"It hasn't been explained to me why every year I'm the subject of trade talks. At the same time, it's a business," Stoudemire said of the situation. "They've never really explained to me why they want to trade me. At the same time, I can't control what I can't control. I stay out of it, and try to keep my focus on the court."

The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 18.

Stoudemire is averaging 21.2 points and 8.6 rebounds on the season for the 31-22 Suns.

no mention of who the cavs have to give up to get him though...

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns are closing in on a deal that would send All-Star forward Amare Stoudemire to Cleveland, according to sources with knowledge of the negotiations.

    Stoudemire

The Cavaliers would send Zydrunas Ilgauskas and J.J. Hickson to Phoenix in exchange for Stoudemire, one of the league's most dominant big men.

While Cleveland remains in talks with several other teams, the club, from management down to the players, has settled on Stoudemire as its first choice.

The ball is in Phoenix's court. The Suns are mulling whether the financial relief provided by Ilgauskas' $12 million contract and the young and talented Hickson are enough for them to part with Stoudemire.

Cleveland believes the addition of Stoudemire would all but seal LeBron James' re-signing with the team when he becomes a free agent this summer. The Cavaliers are also prepared to sign Stoudemire, who has one year and $17 million remaining on his contract, to a long-term contract extension once the season ends.

The Suns would likely waive Ilgauskas, a move that would allow him to be re-signed by Cleveland after 30 days.

Cleveland is also talking with Washington about acquiring Antawn Jamison, as well as Indiana about Troy Murphy. Meanwhile, Golden State is trying to entice the Cavs into taking Corey Maggette for Ilgauskas.

  • I think I might have to change my bet.

The Dallas Mavericks are looking pretty darn good.

They also have one of my all-time favorite players, Jason Kidd, who has been playing awesome lately. Hooray for the old guy!

Hopefully, it will be Mavs vs Cavs in the finals. I'd be happy if either of those teams won.

JUST AS LONG AS THE LAKERS DON'T :D
