  • Amazing year for Novak Djokovic! He is currently one of the best tennis player in history of tennis.

He will win master London an easy. !

  • This is probably best season ever in the history of Open Era. Nobody never dominated so powerful...

I don't know but if not it's pretty close to that  ;) Phenomenal form from Nole but more impressive for me is that he maintain that shape for months and it's the toughest thing to do. Looking unstoppable not only now but all year long.

  • Novak plays at another level compared to his opponents. Killed competition. It is a great champion and I remember the time when Schumacher in Formula 1 had no rival.

  • Novak plays at another level compared to his opponents. Killed competition. It is a great champion and I remember the time when Schumacher in Formula 1 had no rival.

The other thing was when he dominated (Shumi). For him it is always done team-mate and cleaned his way when time was close.

Novak work and play himself  LOL

  • Agree, it is clear that you are fan  no. One of Novak. I like it a lot too. :) Just say very clearly dominate  competition :)

  • Yes, Nole is one of the best tennis players of all time but in my opinion Federer is Mr. Tennis. RF had tougher opponents without doubt (Agassi, Safin, injury-free Nadal, etc...) while Nole has an old Federer, an out of form Nadal and opponents with mental problem (Wawrinka, Murray).

  • Federer had old Agassi, and Safin is something like Wawrinka. I dont think that Roger had tougher opponents then Novak.

  • I agree with Alexa Alexa.Roger Federer is big legend but Novak too.Novak can play at least 2 years more his best tennis.

  • With this superiority,Novak really can become best player ever.it looks almost impossible to see him defeated at the moment.

  • Federer had old Agassi, and Safin is something like Wawrinka. I dont think that Roger had tougher opponents then Novak.

I don't think so. He had Roddick, Hewitt, Nalbandian, etc... And Nole?

Don't misunderstand me pls, I think Nole is a fantastic player. He has learned everything about tennis, but Federer is a genius who did not need to learn too much. I think Djokovic is Messi while Federer is Ronaldinho. Both players is incredible but in my opinion Ronaldinho is better  :D.

But ask from an American who was the best basketball player ever: Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Michael Jordan or LeBron James.

I think we are in good situation as we can see Nole, Federer and Nadal in the same time. I remember to Pistol Pete, Boris Becker and Agassi as well. I think I'm really lucky but if somebody ask me who was the best tennis player ever I'll choose Federer.

  • We agree about one thing. We are currently in golden era of tennis, with ability two watch probably 3 best tennis players ever. At this moment,Federer is best ever, but I think Novak has chances to become it.

I see what you mean but I will not agree that Federerer had the tougher opponents back then , it's just isn't  right to compare a different eras in tennis like that. It's just too subjective, It took a long time  for Nole to be where he is right now, and in the first 4 or 5 years in his career he lost almost every of the meetings against Federer and Nadal who were at the top of their game back then. But I'm agree that Federer is the most natural talent out there although that just shows what an enormous work Nole had done  to be the dominant force that he is now.

    And about that one

Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Michael Jordan or LeBron James.

I don't think that LeBron James is even from the same specie  with Jordan, Michael Jordan is not the best basketball player he is the most amazing athlete I ever saw, and this is from a Lakers fan who really hated the Chicago Bulls back then ;)

  • This season Novak practiced a full tennis but still believe it benefits from the absence of opposing the measure.

And ...where is Magic Johnson ? One of the greatest player ever...please watch on youtube ...another level...

i think that people need to make up their minds, either Federer is a tennis genius, or he's not. When he beats any of the other top players, including Novak, Nadal or Murray, he is considered as a tennis magician, but when he loses, then he's old, and can't compete with them. Choose one and stick to it. He wouldn't play tennis if he thought he doesn't have equal chances to win.

I agree with you sharpe. I don't think people still can't appreciate what Novak has done so far. It's not like Federer and Nadal stopped playing tennis in 2011. Even before that Novak had a great matches with them, but more often would lose because he wasn't as tough mentally as they were.

And I'm not going to compare tennis eras either. Safin was one of my favorite players but a complete nutcase. :D

Sorry, but I don't understand your post, at all.

I think it's not about results. Santoro was one of my favorite players and I think he was the first Magician. He won only 6 tournaments and his best achievement was the winning of an ATP 500 tourney in Dubai. But in my opinion he was a real genius.Federer is the same one. I don't care about his results I only want to watch and enjoy his play. He's a very clever and elegant player

who can make brilliant things on the court.

I think Djokovic is a machine (like Messi). He's athletic and elastic. and without doubt he's the best player at nowadays and one of the best all-time.

But I prefer RF to Djoker.  ;)

Yes, Santoro was a magician :) I just didn't want to use the same adjective (genius) twice for Federer. Unlike many Serbs I  like him a lot too, though I can't really like him more than Djokovic. I like athleticism, flexibility, and it is fun to watch, too.

But that is a matter of taste, not results and competition, about which you wrote in your previous post.

I just replied to the simile between Djokovic's current results and the Schumacher-era.

Yeah I think RF is a genious.

Nothing wrong in that I think, most of the fans in  Western Europe and North America are RF/Nadal/Murray fans and didn't like Nole so..

  • Djokovic is God when he go to the east  LOL

Japan and China are his area and there he plays like at home.

  • ATP World tour finals draw:

    Stan Smith Group

    ------------------------

    1. Djokovic

    3. Federer

    6. Berdych

    8. Nishikori

    Ille Nastase Group

    -------------------------

    2. Murray

    4. Wawrinka

    5. Nadal

    7. Ferrer

Who would you fancy to reach last 4?

  • My prediction:

    Smith group: 1. Djokovic 3/0 2. Nishikori 2/1 3. Federer 1/2 4. Berdych 0/3

    Nastase group: 1. Murray 2/1 2. Nadal 2/1 3. Wawa 2/1 4. Ferrer 0/3

Nole will lose only one set, and win easily the tournament.

  • My prediction:

    Smith group: 1. Djokovic 3/0 2. Nishikori 2/1 3. Federer 1/2 4. Berdych 0/3

    Nastase group: 1. Murray 2/1 2. Nadal 2/1 3. Wawa 2/1 4. Ferrer 0/3

Nole will lose only one set, and win easily the tournament.

I agree with you that Nole will win tournament and agree with you too about Ferrer score 0/3 :)

I think Nishikori is in poor shape and think that he will not past the group.

  • But I don't have to be Serb to not like him ;)

Nothing wrong in that I think, most of the fans in  Western Europe and North America are RF/Nadal/Murray fans and didn't like Nole so..

Of course not. But over here it is a bit different situation. Federer has said not so flattering things about Novak in the past, so people (I apologize for this generalization) don't like him at all, and that doesn't have to do anything with the game style.

As for the ATP World Tour Finals - I just hope I will get to see as many matches as possible.

  • Novak is big favorite in London.Honestly,I would be really surprised if he loses any match.I would love to see him playing against Nadal,it is a chance for Nole to equalize  their score head to head.

It is possible that Nole lost a match in the group but very difficult. If he repeat the game from the previous period, it is practically impossible. My opinion for Nadal is that he will have hard work to pass the group.

In that kind of form he will be a favourite even if the tournament will be held in the back yard of the Federer's house  ;)

  • Usually i bet on Novak; Novak should win without major problems this tournament. This time i bet against. If Novak win it is just the ultimate ,,champion'' for me...

Wait, how can you bet against Novak Djokovic? to bet against the best player in tennis history?  :o

  • Last tournament of the season coming up, here are the details:

Barclays ATP World Tour Finals - London, Great Britain

    Surface: Indoor Hard

    Total Financial Commitment: $7,000,000

    Seeds

    1 N. Djokovic

    2 A. Murray

    3 R. Federer

    4 S. Wawrinka

    5 R. Nadal

    6 T. Berdych

    7 D. Ferrer

    8 K. Nishikori

  • Sunday's matches and the odds at Sportingbet:

    Djokovic, N v Nishikori, K

    1.062 - 9.00

    Federer, R v Berdych, T

    1.222 - 4.333

    Good luck!

  • In today's matches I think that will not be a problem for Novak and Federer.

Odds of their victories are small but on Novak's match could be played less games than 20.5 .

  • In today's matches I think that will not be a problem for Novak and Federer.

I think Nishikori has no chance against Djokovic. My suggestion, it will be 6 2 6 3 for Novak.

Excellent offered odds for less games.

  • Very easy and convincing win Novak over Nishikori.Only two lost games in the match and that in each set by one talking about what the situation was on the court.Outstanding game by Nole.

  • What a domination by Novak. In matces like this, without big pressure,he really cant lost a single set.

  • Nishikori is not a player who could threaten him because to my mind he is disastrous bad shape.Against Fedex will see the true face but I think in that match Nole will win again.

  • Only Roger Federer may in some way to confront Novak Djokovic. But Djokovic is psychologically strong and I think Federer will not be a problem for him.

  • Novak Djokovic did not lost a match in O2 arena for almost 4 years. His last defeat was against Janko Tipsarevic. Federer wont have any chance in group stage.

  • Easy wins for Djokovic and Federer today:

    (1) SRB Novak Djokovic d. ( 8 ) JPN Kei Nishikori 61 61

    (3) SUI Roger Federer d.  (6) CZE Tomas Berdych 64 62

  • Novak Djokovic did not lost a match in O2 arena for almost 4 years. His last defeat was against Janko Tipsarevic. Federer wont have any chance in group stage.

wow, I completely forgot to Janko Tipsarevic. He was sick, I think that he was healed, but will not be returning to prefessional tennis.

  • Easy win for Federer who again play very good.He had not trouble with Berdych who still has problems when on the other hand some of the big four.

  • Today's matches and the odds at Sportingbet:

    Murray, A v Ferrer, D

    1.285 - 3.50

    Nadal, R v Wawrinka, S

    1.70 - 2.15

    Good luck!

  • The second match is supposed to be interesting. I don't think that Murray will have much problems with Ferrer though they did have some great matches in the past.

  • In today's matches my favorites are Murray and Wawrinka. As for Murray, I have no doubt at all in his victory in straight sets.Wawinka is undervalued against Nadal but I think this could be his night.

  • Comfortable win for Murray:

    (2) GBR Andy Murray d.  (7) ESP David Ferrer 64 64

  • It was expected to see no problems for Andy Murray in this match. He is in good form,he just need more mental strength to compete with Novak.

  • Comfortable win for Murray:

    (2) GBR Andy Murray d.  (7) ESP David Ferrer 64 64

Ferrer seems to be  one of those players who always wins comfortably against lower ranked players but in the same time when he face a higher ranked he's not able to be competitive and loosing with ease every time.

  • I agree with you sharpe,I suppose that Ferrer is one of the players with biggest number of quarterfinals of big tournaments, without winning it :)

Speaking of lost quarterfinals I found an interesting fact and to share it with you.

Teymuraz Gabashvili is a player who has 16 ATP quarterfinals and lost all 16 :D

  • This is really weird. Especially, when we know that Gabashvili aint such a bad player at all.It is big barriere for him in the future.

  • What a game Rafa against Wawrinka.I even did not expect Rafa to win but Wawrinka is still in a barrier from time to time.
