bet-at-home secure UKGC licence

 

European sports betting operator bet-at-home announced that it had been awarded an online sports betting and casino licence by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC).

 

The company said: “With the approved license bet-at-home.com sets another milestone in terms of legal certainty in the European Union.”

 

The UKGC awarded the license for online casino and sports betting operations to the bet-at-home.com brand, which is currently operated from Malta.

 

But i was few years ago more and more playing on bet-at-home. I am sorry this news. I liked bet-at-home.

 

The news says they got their license for the UK, why does that make you sad???

Betfair pays out 200 million pounds to shareholders

Betfair paid out a £200 million cash return to its shareholders and also introduced a 50% dividend increase.

They had previously announced a record half year results, ending the period with £271.4m of cash.  Their forecast of core profit in the 2014-15 year has been upgraded to £97-103m.

The cash return for the shareholders will be paid out on January 16.

Titan Bet agrees partnership with talkSPORT

Online sportsbook Titanbet has an UK broadcast partnership with sports-focused commercial radio station talkSPORT.

The operator will be a partner in the Kick-Off show, presented by Mark Saggers, Richard Keys and Andy Grey and the deal will also see Titanbet employees take part in three interviews a week to discuss the latest odds and betting markets.

The Kick-Off show is broadcast Monday to Friday, and attracts more than 800,000 listeners a week.

William Hill has backed the next episode of the Star Wars saga, ‘Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens’, to be the highest grossing film of 2015.

They are currently offering odds-on for the film to top this year’s worldwide box office revenues, ahead of Marvel’s Avengers Age of Ultron (4/1) and Jurassic World (8/1). The upcoming James Bond Spectre is priced at 10/1.

Former footballer and model David Ginola will try to become the next President of FIFA and to support him Paddy Power have launched a campaign: ‘Team Ginola – Rebooting Football’. A website teamginola.com, and Twitter handle, #TeamGinola, have been created to spread the word.

Becoming the president of FIFA is not easy, the campaign is quite expensive, so the Irish bookmaker decided to provide the £250,000 registration fee for David Ginola to take part in the campaign. The campaign aims to raise £2.3m.

Betway Sign Sponsorship Deal with West Ham United

Online sportsbook Betway will pay 20 million pounds to become the shirt sponsor of Premier League outfit West Ham United.

Pinnacle Sports Sold

Pinnacle Sports, one of the oldest online betting operators and also one of the most respected in the business, has been sold to undisclosed buyers.

There isn't any information regarding the buyers or the value of the deal.

The sale of Pinnacle Sports comes after a whole year in which they restructured their operations. In September 2014 Pinnacle Sports announced that they would no longer accept UK wagers due to changes in UK online gambling taxation.

PokerStars Sportsbook Beta version just launched in preparation for integration into the new PokerStars 7 Client platform.

PokerStars was set to launch their online sportsbook in the first quarter of 2015, the sportsbook platform went live last Tuesday in beta mode, which is the final step before the official launch.

Elections are coming in England and Betfair has created ‘Unspin it’, an app designed to "translate" the political language.

Bet365 close up shop in Romania

Just received an email from Bet365, seems they don't want to give in to the requests of the Romanian authorities (basically to register like any gambling operator, online or land-based, and pay taxes). Here's the email content:

We regret to inform you that, as a result of a decision issued on 15th October by the Romanian National Office of Gambling, we need to suspend our betting and gaming services to customers resident in Romania.

We believe the National Office for Gambling’s decision is contrary to the provisions of the law and bet365 will be challenging it. As a result, we hope that your account suspension will only be a temporary measure and that our services will be available to you again in the near future. We will keep you updated of developments.

In the meantime, your account will be suspended and you will no longer be able to use our betting and gaming services. You will however be able to login and withdraw your funds in the usual manner.

I don't think so. On September Coral left Romania. One month later they have declared that they leave Hungary too. I got the same e-mail as the Romanians). I think we have the same rules. In this case I have to move back to England. Id like to be a sports trader and bet365 have the fastest streaming service. If I lose them, I can't continue my activity on betfair.

Mr Green to enter sportsbook market with Kambi Group as software supplier

Gaming operator Mr Green is getting ready to enter the sportsbook market, they have selected Kambi Group has their sports betting software supplier.

“Mr Green has a reputation of being the gentleman of online gaming. A position that promises honesty, fair play, accurate information and all services attached to the definition of a gentleman,” Mr Green CEO Jesper Kärrbrink said.
