Yes, he was disqualified. His name is Josephat Machuka and this happened at the 1992 World Junior Championships. The winner of the race was Haile Gebreselassie, who then went on to become a real legend (won two Olympic gold medals, several world titles and marathons).

I remember Gebreselassie! He was really something different. As well as Machuka I suppose, and I would ban him for life for what he did...

I have seen clips of guys hitting every single hurdle, and I actually think it is not that far fetched, and that you just lose your rhythm, phase-shift and keep hitting them :) The fun part is that you can actually win even with hitting those, not that anyone managed to do it as far as I know...

that hurdler one doesnt look like it is an actual event, maybe it is some kind of armature athletic event.

But saying that, yes i have seen many videos of hurdlers that hit every or nearly every hurdle :P
