The Denver Broncos got their fourth consecutive win, 35-21 against the San Diego Chargers on Thursday night. Emmanuel Sanders caught three touchdown passes from Peyton Manning in the victory. Sanders caught TD throws of 2, 31 and 3 yards. Rookie running back Juwan Thompson added two TD runs and the Chargers lost their second straight game. Manning finished 25 of 35 for 286 yards.

The New England Patriots extended their winning streak to four games with a spectacular 51-23 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.  Tom Brady delivered five scoring passes and the Patriots scored three touchdowns in\ the last two minutes of the first half. The Bears fell behind 45-7 early in the second half and lost for the fourth time in five games. Brady completed 30 of 35 passes for 354 yards and threw three scoring passes to Rob Gronkowski and one each to Tim Wright and Brandon LaFell.

The Dallas Cowboys had their six-game winning streak snapped as they fell to a 20-17 overtime defeat at the hands of the Washington Redskins on Monday night. Colt McCoy directed Washington to Kai Forbath's 40-yard field goal in overtime, the play that eventually decided the game. The Cowboys did have one last chance, but Romo's final pass on fourth down was knocked away by Bashaud Breeland.

In his 200th career start, Brady passed for 333 yards.

The Cleveland Browns extended their winning streak to three games with a comfortable 24-3 success at the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night. Andy Dalton had a terrible night for the home side, he was 10 of 33 for 86 yards with three interceptions and two sacks. Cleveland controlled the game by rushing for 170 yards.

The Philadelphia Eagles grabbed their second consecutive win as they defeated the Carolina Panthers 45-21 on Monday night. Darren Sproles had two touchdowns while Sanchez, filling in for injured Nick Foles, threw for two scores. The Eagles' defence sacked Cam Newton no less than nine times. Sanchez had 332 yards passing in his first start since December 2012.

The Pittsburgh Steelers got back to winning ways with a 27-24 victory at the Tennessee Titans on Monday night. The Steelers scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to turn the game around. Ben Roethlisberger completed 21 passes for 207 yards and 1 touchdown. This was the fourth consecutive defeat for the Titans.

The Oakland Raiders finally got their first win of the season as they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 24-20 on Thursday.  Derek Carr threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to James Jones with 1:42 remaining to end a terrible 16-game losing streak for the Raiders. Latavius Murray ran for two touchdowns on four carries. Alex Smith threw two TD passes for the Chiefs, who had their five-game winning streak snapped.

The St Louis Rams grabbed their second consecutive win and also their second consecutive shutout as they defeated the Washington Redskins 24-0 on Sunday. The Rams recorded back-to-back shutouts for the first time since 1945. Jared Cook caught two touchdown passes while the defense allowed 206 total yards. The Green Bay Packers extended their winning streak to five games with a spectacular 43-37 success against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday. The Arizona Cardinals grabbed their second consecutive win, 12-6 at the St Louis Rams on Thursday.  Chandler Catanzaro delivered four field goals to clinch it for the visitors. The Rams only managed two short field goals through Greg Zuerlein. The Cardinals will clinch a playoff spot if Sunday's Dallas-Philadelphia game doesn't end in a tie, or a Detroit loss combined with a Green Bay victory.
