    After being on the market for nearly two years, Michael Jordan's sprawling mansion goes up for auction after a long dry spell of no buyers.

    The $29 million dollar 32,683 sq foot compound in a suburb of Chicago boasts 9 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, guest house, 500 bottle wine cellar, cigar cellar and a full size basketball court just to name a few amenities.

     

    The house was custom built in 1995 by Jordan featuring tall doorways and higher counter tops to accommodate his height. According to neighbor Lou Weisbach: “There would be 1,500 to 2,000 cars every weekend. Limos would bring Navy personnel. Now that is what i call a party house!

     

    Serious buyers must leave a $250,000 deposit down for a chance to bid on home.

     

    I think i will make a bid for $251,000 - ha ha ha!

    wow!  A little over the top for Chicago, isn't it?  But I don't know that much about Chicago.

     

    Can you imagine working in a kitchen that has counters built to fit him?  I'd have to use a step stool just to see the countertop!  LOL  And what about the toilets?  *-*

    It would require a real fan of either Jordan or basketball to buy that house. I would also think that all the custom "tall" accommodations would be a problem for most too.

    That is insanely expensive, I'm actually kinda suprised it hasn't sold. Jordan is such a legend that I'm sure there is someone out there with tons of money and ego just to say they own his place!  LOL LOL

    To be honest I was surprised it didn't sell either considering its Jordan. I guess we can chalk it up to a bad real estate market.

    What a huge home.  Not sure about the ratio of bedrooms to bathrooms though - crazy!
