That was such a stupid match, Arsenal made immense mistakes in defence. Anyway, it might not be that easy for Wolves but I definitely think that they will pull through to the quarter finals.

  • Unfortunately the only news in sports these days are related to people getting infected and events getting cancelled: Mikel Arteta has tested positive for coronavirus, while the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix has been called off.

  • The Italian Football Federation will ask UEFA to postpone Euro 2020, while several sports stars have turned to eSports last weekend.

  • The French Open will take place in September, the European Championship was moved to 2021, while Tom Brady will leave the New England Patriots after 20 years.

  • The Premier League won't restart until 30 April, while in Germany some Bundesliga players are ready to give up their wages in order for their club to survive.

  • Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has recovered from coronavirus, but the pandemic has now postponed the European Cup finals and the Olympic Games

  • These are a bit of crazy times Johnny...?..how you're doing without all the sport leagues and so on we're so getting use to being stopped at the moment...I know for many people that's not important at all (as  the politic for me  as an example  in general?) but if you thinking abstract beyond your personal life...there's nothing much to be exited about right now...at least for me...let's hope everything would be back to what we used to call a normal soon enough.

It's very difficult for us sports fans to cope with all this drama without having our favourite refuge, I totally agree with you. I'm playing a lot of Scrabble online lately, it helps keep the mind occupied with something and not think about the whole sad situation for a few minutes.

  • Pep Guardiola decided to donate 1 million euros to help a hospital in Barcelona amid the coronavirus pandemic, while other football icons have contributed to the effort as well.

  • Another example of generosity comes from the Bundesliga, where big clubs are giving away money for smaller clubs.

Ha-ha,I completely understand you Johnny,(at least you'll become great at scrabble! ?...same here have been plying some card games like belote online...but it sucks really?

But whatever needs to kill off some time and keep us busy I guess.

Kind of reluctant to watch an old games cause it's just remind me what I'm missing at the moment...just been watching some stuff on youtube like ESPN FC and The United stand which is a United fan channel.

  • Ilkay Gundogan has proven his fair-play, check out what he said HERE

  • Lionel Messi and his team-mates are giving up part of their salaries in order to support the non-playing staff at the club.

  • There's not much hope left to see some sports any time soon: the Champions League and Europa League are now suspended until further notice, while Wimbledon got cancelled for the first time since World War Two.

  • Premier League football is now suspended indefinitely

  • You miss sports, don't you? I am in the same situation, and since one of the refuges is represented by sports movies I though I'd share my Top 50 Movies of All Time List with you. Have a read and share your favourites as well!

  • Part two of the top 50 movies list is now available, enjoy!

  • Part three of the top 50 sports movies list is fresh out of the oven, check it out

  • Part four of the top 50 sports movies of all time list is here, enjoy!

  • We all miss our favourite football competitions, but now there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel. Let's see what are the plans for restarting the top five football leagues in Europe.

  • PSG have won the Ligue 1 title as the season was cut short with 10 matches left. That might set a precedent for more top leagues to end their seasons early.

  • Ronnie O'Sullivan has won his sixth World Championship title on Sunday after a dominant 18-8 triumph over surprise finalist Kyren Wilson. Now O'Sullivan has won more ranking titles than any player in history, 37, but he is still one World Championship title behind Stephen Hendry, who has won seven of them.

Aged 44, O'Sullivan is the oldest world champion since Ray Reardon, who won the title at the age of 45 back in 1978. Ronnie O'Sullivan has won his first world title all the way back in 2001, then he won in 2004 and 2008, and then back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013.

  • Hey Johnny boy, how's it going, it's been awhile..?

Both Tour de France and Giro have been a great races isn't it, so exiting till the very end!

Would not be overstatement to say cycling has been the most attractive sport to watch on TV this year...well at least for me!

Just before the tour I've said to a friend of mine Pogacar will win a big tour in a year time at latest...didn't expect he'll win it in a month time..? Glad for the guy..a great talent!

And what about the Giro...Tao Hart is the rider I've always admired...but the Rohan Dennis contribution was immense really, probably they wouldn't won it without him..?!

I agree, cycling has been spectacular and I guess it has not lost much of its charm due to covid restrictions, while other sports did. I mean, watching football with empty stadiums is a bit depressing.

I never expected Pogacar to win the Tour, not even on the day of the time trial stage. He was very clever all around and he is a really powerful force for the future.

As for the Giro, what Rohan Dennis did was crucial for Tao's victory, I agree that he would not have won it without him.

Neither do I mate, ..or really have anyone expected this..?

Remember watching him in Tour de l'Avenir a couple of years back and even then I thought the guy is a special talent but in the time trial..he was just a class above anyone else..surely a lot more to come from him if he's in the right team surroundings in the next years.

    Exactly!

As for the Vuelta...it promising to be a great entertaining race too...I'll support Roglic at least for the fact or the way he lost the tour...it's really been harsh on them the way Jumbo Visma have been dominating the race...and not won it in the end, but Carapaz looks to be in great shape and having a great team to support him...there's another few riders who having the ambition and it seems whatever happens...it would just be an entertainer.
