Shea Weber had a goal and a pair of assists while goalie Pekka Rinne made 35 saves for Nashville. The Predators are currently sixth in the Western Conference while the Stars are second, tied on 83 points with leaders Chicago.

Great streak for the Ducks obviously and they are on their way to win the Pacific division for yet another season. Looking almost impossible for the Arizona Coyotes to stop them tonight in the form they are at the moment - loosing 6 straight games, so from that perspective @1.60 for the  Ducks win really sounds like a reasonable stake.

The Anaheim Ducks extended their winning streak to 11 games with a 3-2 victory at the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. Jakob Silfverberg, David Perron and Ryan Kesler scored for the Ducks to set a new franchise record for consecutive wins.

 

The Ducks are in really incredible form lately, they overcome huge deficit in points to the LA Kings and now leading the division, I'm still thinking it's a  play off games that counts and the essential thing is to be in best possible shape  when it comes to them, we all know who are the best teams in that regard. No doubt  to be top of the division in the reg season is a nice thing but that could harm your  chances in the playoffs.

The Pittsburgh Penguins got back to winning ways with a comfortable 6-1 triumph at the New Jersey Devils on Sunday. Evgeni Malkin bagged two goals while rookie goalie Matthew Murray made 17 saves for the Penguins. Matt Cullen, Nick Bonino, Bryan Rust and Scott Wilson also scored for Pittsburgh.

Ducks - Capitals will be a huge game really, maybe the two teams most successful teams in the last months. I'm curious if Washington can stop Anaheim winning streak, certainly the odds for that deserved a shot on I think.

The Washington Capitals ended Anaheim's 11-game winning streak with a 2-1 shootout victory on Monday. Ryan Getzlaf had put the Ducks ahead in the first period but Andre Burakovsky scored in the third to push the game into overtime. T.J Oshie and Nicklas Backstrom scored in the shootout for the Capitals, who clinched their second consecutive win and comfortably lead the Eastern Conference rankings.

It's very risky to put money against Washington this season but I think the LA Kings could win tonight,  Capitals has a tough last game and Kings showing some sings of improvement so I think it's worth a shot.

Big game in the Western Conference tonight with Blackhawks hosting Kings. Chicago is just 3 point behind leaders in their division Dallas and St Louis but with a game in hand and Kings tops Pacific just two points clear of Anaheim. So a massive game for both teams and the Kings usually didn't playing very well in Chicago but maybe they could win tonight, although it will be very tough if that happens at all.

The Los Angeles Kings stormed past the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, it ended 5-0 at the United Center in Chicago. Jonathan Quick made 32 saves for the shutout, the 41st of his career, while Kris Versteeg had a goal and assist for the Kings. Luke Schenn had a pair of assists while Milan Lucic also scored for the Kings. The Chicago Blackhawks remain third in the Western Conference rankings, just one point ahead of the fourth-placed L.A. Kings.

The Kings were great in their last two games so I think the battle for the Pacific is great with a three in form teams. Anaheim have to win tonight against Rangers if they want to keep up the pressure over LA and I think they would probably do just that, not an easy opponent is Rangers though.

The Pittsburgh Penguins extended their winning streak to four games with a 4-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday.
