  • Great pointers Tony. With Illinois just getting in on the action to make wagers on sportsbooks, this comes in handy!!

    Thanx,

  • Great, thank you, should have read that before bestake...

  • "2. Location & Certification: Online sportsbooks must belicensed and regulated by the nation in which they conduct business."

How do you verify this though? They can say they are licensed on their website. How do you really verify it?

  • You can check the website of the regulator.  They should show their list of licence holders.  If they are not on the list, they are unlikely regulated.

  • so possibly, they're just getting our details to send to another bookmaker? i've been seeing a lot of websites recently that when you click their about us, it just goes back to the main page.

  • Thanks for the post!!! It helps a lot  :)

  • I can't believe I'm just now seeing this post! Yes it does help a great deal! :-bd

  • Thank you for posting this informations, they are realy helpfull.

  • I  didn't experiment a lot with an unproven names in the industry but this post is very useful.Thanks.

  • I had no idea of watching all these things when I made a betting account , but it's good to know and I'll be more careful. Good tips !

  • Thank you, I guess all we need to do is to place our bet in the most reliable website. It is always a matter of reading the terms and condition and reading some review about the website that we are planning to place our bet with.  (OO)

  • 6. Do a google search for any new online bookie. If people are talking about it through many sites and forums, that should be a good sign.

  • I guess it will always be best if you will read the terms and condition of that website. Also there are a lot of reviews available on the online web I guess there's nothing wrong if you'll gonna check the internet first.

You have already said that, in slightly different words, a few months ago. Why did you feel the need to repeat?

  • The main post from TS is changed or am I misreading something? I actually am interested to read about the subject and was curious if things like visual perception and shifting informationstreams in somebody's personal invironment are noticed.

  • Just to be clear, here's the way you can prove if its legit or not, thank me later!

    1. License to Trust: A legitimate online sportsbook proudly flaunts its license. If it's as elusive as a unicorn, consider it a red flag.

    2. Secure the Perimeter: Any credible sportsbook will fortify its site with the latest encryption tech. If it's playing hide-and-seek with HTTPS, abort mission!

    3. User Reviews - The Sherlock Holmes Approach: Dive deep into user reviews like a detective on a mission. If the testimonials are more fiction than fact, your gut instinct is your trusty sidekick.

    4. Beware of the Phantom Bonuses: When an offer sounds too good to be true, it usually is! Beware of phantom bonuses that vanish into thin air faster than Houdini.

    5. Customer Support: The Oracle of Truth: If customer support is MIA or speaks in riddles, reconsider your allegiance. A reliable sportsbook values its patrons and communicates with the clarity of a mountain spring.

    6. Transaction Transparency: The financial trail should be crystal clear. If withdrawals are akin to solving a Rubik's Cube blindfolded, reconsider your alliance with the enigma.

    7. Too Much Hush-Hush: Legitimate sportsbooks operate in the daylight. If secrecy is their modus operandi, it's time to unmask the charade!

  • First of all to safe yourself from scams its important to see the certification and license of casinos. If all of these are available then check the credibility of casino that certification and licensing is correct. I think LCB is best platform to check the credibility of casinos.

Your thanks ( thank button) will encourage me to write such type of posts to safe players from scammers.

  • Beaverbet.net I recently received an email from Beaverbet.net (email : [email protected]) and proceeded to create an account with them, submit and had verified my personal documents, deposited money, and won money. I attempted to withdraw this money and had $4100 in pending withdrawals, as well as an extra $3000 in the account. The withdrawals were pending at the time when I tried to login that evening, I was prompted by a message stating "User Disabled." They do not respond to any emails, which of course is the only way to apparently reach them, and they have provided no explanation for the service disruption. I believe they are operating illegally or unethically, and have stolen $7,100 of my money. According to their website, they are operated by SG International N.V., which upon much research, they have a very bad reputation. Does anyone have any further information about them that may help me retrieve my funds?

  • Yes the certification license and ownership etc are so important no doubt but I noticed casinos which have all above mentions documents also try to tease a player in case of win especially when player gets free balance or free chips.

LCB and other such type of platform are the  very very important for the players where their complaints are resolved.

  • For me, I look for the logo of the gambling authority in the footer of casinos. Although some can fake this, you need to check the URL taking you to their certificate is real. Another thing you can do is check on the Malta Business Registry or Curacao Chamber of Commerce sites to find out if the operator exisits in the country it is licensed. For other countries, I am sure they have company checks as public information. I know Malta and Curacao do, as these are the main ones I play at. When I was in the UK, most of the companies were registered in Malta. But it was easy to find them on the UK gambling license websote.

  • It's always necessary to conduct some kind of review or research before playing at the casino. LCB actually does this by collecting, analyzing, and presenting the information needed by every player. This way, LCB provide assistance to players.
