Here is a new topic where we can comment Ex-yu sport happenings. Feel free to speak about basketball, football, waterpolo, handball, Crvena zvezda, Partizan, DInamo, Hajduk, Maribor, Vardar, Sarajevo, Željezničar etc. :D

To start this topic, I just came back form Cedevita - Crvena zvezda basketball game. Zvezda won with 8 points difference and proceeded to finals of ABA league. Finals will be played against Mega leks. After tough overtime win in Belgrade, it was not much easier in Zagreb. Cedevita led in first half. Zvezda played excellent defence and controled offence well so we led at the end of 3rd quarter by 6. Deciding moment of the game happened 40 seconds before the end when Lazić scored three pointer to incease Zvezda's lead to 6. Quincy Miller (14p, 6reb, 3as), Vladimir Štimac (17p, 6reb) and Stefan Jović (10p, 6as) led Zvezda to win this one. Jacob Pullen led Cedevita with 17 points.

Today Zvezda also won in football.

I wasn't able to watch the game so I'll just write down scorers for 24th consecutive Zvezda's victory. Well done guys!

International football frendlies

Croatia-Israel 2-0 in 90th minute (Perišić 4', Brozović 34'). Srna got injured, it looked badly, hopefully he will be ready to play at Euro.

Serbia is playing away to Poland. Game is starting in an hour.

That's one of the reasons I stopped following Serbian National Team closely. Our players do very well for their clubs, but when they are playing for the country, it's as if they are programmed to underperform.

Country that produced so many great players is taking American half-products to organize their game, disgraceful. I would forbid that. If you can play for your own country,play it. If you can't ,then stay at home and watch it on TV, but dont take others country citizenship. I think that's shamefull.

I don't like FIFA as organization but at least they are tough about naturalization. FIBA is circus in that field (and many more but that is not the topic), just see this: Jacob Pullen playing for Georgia, Richard Hendrix, Bo McCaleb played for Macedonia, Henry Domercant for Bosnia & Herzegovina, Taylor Rochestie and Tyrece Rice played for Montenegro, Earl Rowland for Bulgaria. Their connection with these countries is like mine with Kazakhstan. Brainless rule. If Serbia ever takes foreigner to play for us ( they did, it was Kuzmić from B&H but he is Serbian) I will stop supporting them.

Haha, I remember first time I saw McCaleb playing for Macedonia, I was shocked. Then I started laughing to the fact that they dont know how miserable they are. How can you enjoy in the victory of your national team, if a foreign player brought you a victory?

About Serbia,no, that shouldn't happen.That would be a scandal. Generally,  we have really good players on every position, so we dont need to sign some foreign players.

Hungary and Croatia played friendly match in Budapest and it finished 1-1. Mandžukić gave guests the lead in 29th minute, but former FM wonderkid Balasz Dzsudzsak levelled it up in 79th minute. I watched a game and it was more or less boring, without much action and attacking football.

Čukarički won in Lučani against Mladost with 2-0. Goalscorers were Bojić 39' and Radonjić 89'. Čuka is currently 4th with just 1 point less than 2nd Partizan and levelled with 3rd Borac.

Great success by PPD Zagreb! They have proceeded to Champions League Quarter-finals after beating Lowen away 31-29. They lost 1st leg in Zagreb by 23-24 but managed to make a sensation by defeating strong german team. Well done guys!

Partizan managed to save the season and reach the second place, but thats it. I'm so happy when I look at the standings. -32*C in Humska, haha :D

Oh they still haven't ( and I hope they won't hehe ). It will get a bit less cold because the league is dividing to Championship and Relegation group and points will be divided by two. :(

Yes I agree, but check this out. If they divide Zvezda's 77 points by 3 and Partizan's 45 by 2 , we would still be topping JSL table by 3 points. This just shows how pathetic they are LOL

Red Star will play in Euroleauge next year, while Partizan will play in Eurocup. Mega probably won't play in Europe at all, probably because of financial aspects. (if they decide to play, the'll compete in Eurocup).

It is not because of financial aspects. Their owner Miško Ražnatović is very rich man and from that aspect it isn't why they won't play Europe at all. He said that young players need to train to develop and playing two times a week with journeys all over the Europe would take away precious time they would use for training. Also, Partizan playing in Eurocup is also in his and favour of Serbian basketball. He could sell some of his players to KKP and if they don't play Europe, they wouldn't have enough sponsors (money) to pay his players. Just remember, Miško is manager of countless number of players.

It is a little harsh to say that we dont need her, she is our best player in womens competion, but we can play without her. If she doesn't want to play for Serbia then it shouldn't, she doesn't deserve it. There are plenty more players willing to play and defend the national colours. And those players should get a chance.

If she doesn't want to play for national team, our nation and national team don't need her. Simple as that. It is matter of pride to play for your country , if you don't want somebody else will ;)

ABA league's Final between Crvena zvezda and Mega Leks, will begin on April,29th.

First two games will be played in Belgrade, on April, 29th and 30th.

Second two games will take place in Sremska Mitrovica, on May 2nd and 3rd.

Fifth game, if needed will take place on May 5th, in Belgrade.

Next 4 years ABA league winner will compete in Euroleague, and the next 3 teams will play in Eurocup.
