    I don't know what to say, I haven't watched the movie yet.

    Not a huge fan of Matthew, until the True Detective that is (I recommend this Show to everyone).

    I feel a bit sorry for Leo though.

    On the bright side, I am betting next year the Leo won't get the award, it seems like a sure bet :)

  • Wow, I am quite surprised to see Romania so high on the favourites list! Our song was chosen by the public last weekend and I don't think it has a chance to win the contest. But who knows?

    Here it is:

    [flash=500,350]

  • On the bright side, I am betting next year the Leo won't get the award, it seems like a sure bet :)

    Perhaps it's a good thing. He could end up in a fantastic company:

    Richard Burton (7 nominations, 0 wins)

    Peter O'Toole (8 nominations, 0 wins)

    Alfred Hitchcock (5 nominations, 0 wins) or

    Stanley Kubrick (4 nominations, 0 wins).

    There are many more amazing actors and actresses who have never won an Oscar. :)

    When will Ireland next win the Eurovision song contest?

    I find Eurovision entertaining. Serbia won't take part this year.

  • I really like it Johnny.  It's catchy and got a great beat once it hits the chorus.

    Who do you think deserves to win?

  • Murray has no chance if he keeps playing like he currently does. I think everything depends on the football World Cup, if England do well there then a football player might get it. Ronnie O'Sullivan might be a good bet.

  • I agree with Johnny. I think that Ronnie O'Sullivan deserves to win, but if Murray manages to get his form back, he will easily win this. I'm sure he's extremely popular in the UK.

  • But murray won last year, i dont think there has been a repeated winner in the sports personality award in its history, but i didnt do a search to find out if that is the case, but to be honest i do agree that Ronnie O'Sullivan does deserve to win this award, he is truly deserving of it. but it will probably be someone who is under the radar this year :P

  • Not sure if Murray has a chance this year, and I would put my money on Ronnie. The man is simply a legend!

    Austria (aka the bearded lady) won the contest! Quite a surprising result if you ask me, the song doesn't sound like anything special but I guess all the hype around the singer made them win.

    [flash=500,350]

  • I don't know whether the winner is surprising. Everyone were talking about her; and after the semi-final night it was quite expected. I agree about the song; it's average at best.

  • I really ddn't think much of the winning song at all  -  guess all the hype did the trick.  I liked the Netherlands one the best.

    I see Austria weren't even in teh betting!

  • Anyone watching Big Brother (UK)?  Who do you think will win?

    Aww what a shame.  So that was that then.  :(

  • Paddy power was taking bets on which simpsons character was going to be killed off at the start of the new season (1st episode). The episode is titled *clown in the dumps* so chances are it will either be Krusty the clown or someone related or close to him. Unfortunatly when i tried to get onto the betting page earlier it said it was unavailable!

  • Vikesh does have a pretty amazing voice.

    To me, Stevie's voice is shaky and too high for my liking, nothing original there.

  • The voice winner was Stevie McCrorie - Team Ricky 13/8.

    He was good but not great imho.

    Hi guys! Does anyone have a favorite?

    Interesting topic :D The Revenant is my number 1,made the biggest impression on me :)

  • I will be surprised if Leo doesn't win it this year. I agree with the odds here.

  • Usually the bookies have their sources and I would be surprised if Leo don't win this time because the bookies are asking the members of the Academy how they had voted if I understand it correctly and the odds shows the aswer they had got or some other sources. I tried to bet against the bookies some years ago and failed that much LOL
