    CNN reports that Major League Baseball is set to suspend 20 players in the following weeks due to a scandal involving performance-enhancing drugs. It is probably the worst drug-abuse case in the history of U.S. sports.

     

    ESPN sources say that baseball's highest-paid player, New York Yankee third baseman Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez, and Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers, are among those facing suspension. Both have denied recently using performance-enhancing drugs but Rodriguez has admitted in the past to using banned substances when he played with the Texas Rangers in the early 2000s.

     

    Quite a sad situation and I think we're only witnessing the beginning of this scandal, when it bursts it might become tsunami-like for the world of baseball.

    When will these athletes realize that taking drugs is not helping their careers? It always seems to catch up in the end. Look at Lance Armstrong. It finally caught up to him and ruined his reputation.

    When will these athletes realize that taking drugs is not helping their careers? It always seems to catch up in the end. Look at Lance Armstrong. It finally caught up to him and ruined his reputation.

    How many suspended athletes does it take to knock sense into these players not to use enhanced performance drugs. We have lost a lot of great athletes throughout the years because of making these bad decisions. They made a bad choice, knew it was wrong and now they have to pay for it.

    I thought you were on the verge of a joke there for a second "How many suspended athletes does it take" heh heh. These guys can't fly under the radar for long. I was never one of A-Rods biggest fans so I'm glad to see him go down.
