50 Billionth hand at PokerStars

At PokerStars they are gearing up to deal the 50 billionth poker hand.  That would be 50,000,000,000!

This means you can expect tons of exciting cash game prizes  and Super Sit & Go tourneys - plus Depositor Freerolls and loads more.

PokerStars could never have reached this incredible landmark without their players, so 50 Billion is their way of thanking all of you who helped get them there. There’s over a million dollars to play for, including milestone hand rewards in cash games leading up to the 50 billion Mega Milestone, Super Sit & Go’s, Depositor Freerolls and a special VIP Club instant cash credit. This is 50 Billion, and it‘s going to be massive.

Cash Games

There will be cash prizes across all their cash game tables starting around September 16 and culminating in the 50 billion Mega Milestone hand. Players dealt into every millionth hand will win a cash prize of $50 for every VPP they earned in the previous 50 hands played on that table. All players dealt in will receive a base prize of $50, and any player that wins a portion of the main pot will also get their cash prize doubled!

NOTE: The Milestone Hands will begin with hand number 49,700,000,000 and end with hand 50,000,000,000.

When the big 50 Billion Mega Milestone is reached, all players dealt in will be rewarded $500 for every VPP earned in the previous 50 hands (calculated same as above, including the base prize of $500 for all players dealt in). The winner of the Mega Milestone will also have their prize money doubled  - which could mean a grand total of tens of thousands  of dollars!

In addition to these prizes, everyone dealt into the hand will receive an entry to the $5,200 WCOOP Main Event on September 26. The winner of the hand will also receive $50,000.

Sit & Go’s

For Sit & Go players there will be five special 50-man Super Sit & Go tournaments running 24/7 from September 10th to 25th across a range of buy-in levels that suit all players and bankrolls: $1.10, $5.50, $11, $22, $55. The winner of every tournament gets a slice of $50,000, shared out between all the winners at each buy-in level.

Keep a look out for the 50 Billion Super Sit & Go’s in the PokerStars lobby by clicking ‘Sit & Go’ and ‘All’.

Example:

Over a 7 day period, there are 10,000 winners at the $1.10 level. This means each winner will receive $50,000 / 10,000 = $5. A player who manages to win 5 of these tourneys, would earn 5 shares of the prize pool (5 x $5 = $25).

The Super Sit & Go prizes will be paid out by September 27.

50 Billion: Depositor Freerolls

All players can win cash with the PokerStars 50 Billion Depositor Freerolls. 220 000 players on 33 000 virtual tables on the winning day

The outstanding achievement of providing fifty billion hands of poker (see previous InfoPowa reports) was secured by Pokerstars.com Wednesday at 10.37am EDT, reports the Pokerstars blog.

With the fifty billionth hand and substantial rewards in sight, the website was a hive of activity as 220 000 players on 33 000 tables logged in for a crack at the record-breaking hand.

Amid intense excitement, the lucky hand finally fell to a 2c/5c table titled Ornamenta, where German player 'tbvle' picked up $56,140 for the winning hand, and the five other players at the table received between $2,990 and $3,070, an amount based on the number of VIP points they had earned over the previous 50 hands. All the players at Ornamenta also received a $5,200 WCOOP Main Event ticket.

The big winner is no stranger to the virtual tables at Pokerstars; according to the independent site Poker Table Ratings the German poker fan has played around 290 000 hands in the last year and a half, averaging hundreds of hands almost every day.

All told, the 50 Billionth promotion handed out some $952,239.50 to PokerStars players. In addition to the winning table, the online poker giant awarded cash prizes to players in 300 milestone hands commencing at 49.7 billion and on every millionth hand thereafter.  Promotions continue until September 25, including three $50 000 free rolls.

Poker Stars Celebrate it’s………are you ready for this……50 billionth hand!!! That’s a whole lot of poker playing going on.

How lucky was the player “tbvle” who happened to be the 50 billionth hand played, winning $50,500. Sitting at the .02/.05 table his winning hand was pocket queens. He also won $5,640 for the points he earned in the last 50 hands as well as the $46.25 for the pocket queens. All in all his grand total win was $56,186!!

I wonder if his new favorite hand is pocket queens now? Who would ever dream playing at a .02 table would reep such a reward!
