  • Hello, I have placed 2 bets with vonbets on the game Barcelona - osasuna. I have won them both, and received the winnings in the account. And the next day I noticed that they have taken the money from my account and settled one bet as a void. That was for 1000€. I contacted them and after one day received an answer that there was a mistake on that match. However one of my bets is still Ok and the other is NOT ??? I received no notification from them and no compensation, they have simply taken 1000€ from my account. Can you please contact them as they are clearly a cheating site and this kind of behavior is unprofesional and unnaceptable, thank you.

    Than you very much, I have also contacted the curacao gambling commision where they have their licence and hopefully it will help with something. They are simply saying that there was a mistake in the bet, but the bet was normally accepted hours before the match started, there was not mistake. The match ended normally and I won the bet, received the money, and then they have simply taken it away. If I had lost the bet I am certain they would not have returned my money.

  • This is the reply we got from the casino: Bet in question had an obvious odds mistake and was canceled as per the terms and conditions. More in detail due to a technical error odds for the Football - Barcelona FC - Osasuna CA were partly wrong. All the bets for this match whilst error occurred have been voided and stakes have been returned to customers.

    This is covered in VonBets T&C's, as any use of the services is an acceptance of the terms defined.

    7.19. Vonbets reserves the right to declare a Bet void, totally or partly, if it is obvious that:

    Bets have been offered, placed and/or accepted due to an Error;
    Bets has been made to an odds that clearly is wrong and stands out from odds offered by other gaming companies
    Bets have been placed after the event has started or after any deadline set by Vonbets (Live betting excluded where these are allowed by Vonbets);
    Syndicate betting has occurred;
    Player has influenced the outcome of the match in any way;
    The result has been affected by criminal actions – directly or indirectly.

  • I received the same answer from them but the match odds were not wrong as you can see from this two links I am sending:

    The bet was accepted 7 hours before the match started, if there was a mistake they should have told me before so I could place a bet somewhere else. Instead they waited until I have won the bet and then confescated my winings. If I would have lost  I am shure the bet would be OK. The average odds were around 4, even with them the odds were around 4.4 as you can see on the link. If they are insisting there was a mistake, I would accept if the bet was settled with the odds 4, not that they have simply taken the winnings, which were around 1000€, and I was not even notified, nor did I receive any apologie or compensation for their mistake. They have simply taken 1000€ from my account and expect me to say it is OK.

  • Yes, you are right. They should have warned you about the error. We contacted them again, forwarded your comment. So let's wait and see if they're going to do something about it. 

  • They are not writing back to me and they are not even processing the withdraw I have ordered, I am waiting 2 days and nothing. maybe they plan to steal that money to. This is absurd. They have cheated me out of 1000€ and are acting it is my fault, not even an apology.

  • I understand your frustration, it's holiday and they won't be working so the processing time will probably take a little longer. So let's wait till then. We'll remind them on Tuesday if they don't answer.

I was contacted by the curacao egaiming where they requested that vonbets checks my complaint again, but I am certain they will again say that there was a mistake with the odds and that is it. Is there anything else I can do to force them to pay out at least some compensation as this cancellation has costed me 870€ and they are not even apologizing or offering any kind of a compensation. Thank you for your help and for your time

    We haven't heard from them yet, but we're going to remind them to update us regarding your case. We'll let you know once we hear back from them. 

  • Hello, I have also been in contact with the curaco egaiming and after I told the what happened I received this email from vonbets: Dear Sirs The following is a breakdown of the bet raised by Player: The player placed a bet for Both Teams to Score in 2nd Half for the Barcelona FC - Osasuna CA match (La Liga) on 26/04/2017 at 11:40:36 CEST, bet was placed at odds 6.80. Odds feed for the time shows average odds of 3.72 for this bet. Bet was settled as Won on 26/04/2017 21:20:22. As the odds mistake was raised, our sports traders voided the bet on 26/04/2017 21:37:05, and returned the stake, as per our Terms and Conditions 7.19, (see full paragraph below) Player was advised upon contact on 2017-04-28 as per our protocol. Voiding bets after match is settled is a rare occurrence. We would only void in case there has been a technical error and we have reason to believe customer has taken advantage of it and/or there has been a mistake causing a significant odds difference compared to actual odds. If we find the difference is benign and/or it appears the player was not taking conscious advantage, we let bets stand. In this case, as player has also informed us in email received on 2017/04/28 it is clear he was comparing odds in an odds feed, the management decision was to Void the bet and refund the stake. Now they are saying that they did not let my bet stand because I was comparing the odds with other bookmakers. Which I was not even doing because I contacted them about this after 2 days, when I checked with oddsportal what the odds were as they were saying there was a mistake with the odds. And the average odds were around 4.5. This is absurd and I really do not know what else to do, they are making a joke out of me.

  • Thank you for sharing this with us. So, what did you send them in the email 2017/04/28? They did contact you to inform you that the bet was wrong, provided you with t&c and gave you your stake back. You said previously they hadn't let you know.

    Let's see what Curacao's going to say. 

  • I have send them 2 emails on 27th when I noticed what happened and I received no answers. then on the 3rd email I received this answer: Hi,Due to a technical error odds for the Football - Barcelona FC - Osasuna CA were wrong.
    All the bets for this match whilst on error have been voided and stakes have been returned to customers.     Here the odds for vonbets can be seen at 4.4. But still they voided my bets on 26th in the evening or on the 27th in the morning. That was one day before I have even told them about the odds on oddsportal. They have taken 870€ winnings from my acount, did not tell me why or did not even notify me about that. I had to contact them and wait for 2 days. And now they are saying that they voided my bets because of a mistake and did not let the bet stand because I was taking conscious advantage of the odds. I betted with them because I had an acount with them and money in the account and because I thought that the bet was offering good value. Is that not the point in sports betting. Or do I have to bet on as bad odds as possible so I will lose every match and they can take all of my money. 

  • I see your point. We contacted them and still no reply. We're still waiting for their email. Since Curacao authority is involved as well, you should wait for their final answer. We're going to get in touch with the casino until we get a reply from them. Keep you posted anyway. We'd also like you to keep us up to date. 

  • Thank you very much for your help. I would understand if vonbets had cancelled my bet before the match started so I could place the bet somewhere else, even if they would not notify me I would find it out myself. But I placed the bet 7 hours before it started, I won the bet, had the money in my account and the next day I woke up  and there is 870€ missing. With no notification or explanation. And after 2 days I am told that there was a mistake and the bet was cancelled after it was already won. And that I deserve no compensation because there was a mistake. And now on top of everything they are saying that they would normally let the bet stand but because I was comparing odds in an odds feed I deserve nothing. I do not really know what the comission can or will do about this, but if they can do this to me and get away with it then I really do not see a point in betting if anywone can just cancell you winning bet when they like and there is nothing a player can do about it.

  • I had to send them my documetns 3 times and wait 4 days before I received my withdraw. Also with no notifications if the documents were accepted, that the withdraw was processed or nothing.   • Hy, have you received any answers from them?? They and the commission are not replaying to any of my emails for the last 4 days. Is there anything else I can do or is it this simpe to steal 870€ and nobody can do aynting??

  • We're still waiting for their reply. If they don't reply tomorrow we'll contact them again. I think you should wait a little bit until you get the answer from Curaçao. Keep you posted. 

  • This is what I received from vonbets: We have given you various answers and there is nothing new to add. Your query has been dealt with accordingly and relevant briefing has also been sent to the Gaming authority to which you requested And i have also send a few messagaes to Curacao but I did not receive any answers in the past 4 days. Vonbets should not have a licence since they clearly do whatever they want and answer to nobody.

  • We heard back from them. They've confirmed that their decision is final and there won't change their opinion regarding your case. They state that all relevant info has been provided to you and Curacao as well. 

    There is nothing more we can do for you, unfortunately. You should now wait and see what Curacao has to say about it. We did our best to help you but this is their decision and we can't do anything further about this. Anyway, we'd like you to let us know once you hear from Curacao.

  • Okey thank you for your help, I have heard nothing from curacao for the past 5 days but lets hope something happens. Just make shure you mark vonbets for the thieves they are if you can rate a bookmaker anywhere on your site. Thank you again for your help and advice.
