I have recently started bluffing hands too now! if I perfect that I will wipe everyone out came 8th this morning in the 10 bucks poker 770 free roll! went out with a pair of 10s so wasn't a silly big blind hand to play I wouldnt say nearly made the straight but there was no jack :(

well bluffing is big part of poker, just make sure to do it wisely ;)

Yeah man I know. Usually just do it when I see opponents betting low then a card comes up that would make potential straight,flush or an obvious hand I put in a decent raised bet and they fold but if they match it I'll fold as too much chance they have the card I am bluffing I have ;)

I only do it when others are betting really low or keep checking because this can mean they are fishing and havent reached the hand or they are bluffing and have literally nothing! the way others bets gives away what they have just need to use your brain sometimes they can be using you as bait but often they are bluffing its hysterical when I have a full house and they only have high card or worse makes them look ridiculous! Also people who go all in every hand annoy me so I bide my time till I pick up a great pocket pair and put them out :)!

quatro queens other guy had no chance whatsoever :D! Finished 4th this time. and had tiny amount of chips blinds were just way too high!

Very useful especially when the rebuy is say 5c for 10,000 chips!

Have you tried these freerolls.  They start as soon as 270 players have registered and you can join as many as you want - late reg available and no rebuys.

I haven't no check out poker mira Blue it is a sardine can ha ha! ;) I just came 12 there and won a buck for that :) first place is a nice $27 in that tourney went out with a straight but the other guy had full house I thought he was bluffing as he had started the betting high before the flop so annoying!!

Heres my first straight flush in a tournament :D!! trebled up+ with this other guy must have been sick when he saw I had Ace,2,3,4,5 diamonds :P! could hardly believe it myself!! also bossed it going all in with pair of kings picked up a 3rd on the flop and took majority of the guys chips :P! placed and got a prize in this tourney went out as my opponent had a better kicker! same pair better kicker so annoying!!

Hehe.  It's great when you know you have the nuts and it's times like that you are hoping and praying they will bet big.

Check out my stack heads up against a  200k+ chip advantage to other guy I came 2nd not much difference in prize money between 1st and 2nd place!

I see it was 10euro prize pool . How much was paid for the first two spots?

€2.17 to 1st place and €1.55 for 2nd place I tried my luck on ghost pirates with it but never had any luck this time around but have turned peanuts into alot on that before so next time I'll be be fine, tip play only at 3cents/pence on it don't bet higher unless you have at least £/€13 to work with because it can collect just as fast as high variance games. ;).

I try not to play out of position unless I have strong holdings and I only play even in position with at least pocket pair,high cards high connecting/ connecting same suits and just chuck everything else basically sometimes raise with garbage and they folkd as I have put in such a bold raise too ;) does this sound good to you blue ;)

It sounds very good to me.  How low on those pocket pairs will you call a raise with?

Very lowest pair I'd raise with is 3s and I'd need to have quite alot of chips usually only 4s as you saw I can't stand being raised with deuces because if you don't make at least a set on the flop and there are overcards you have pretty much no option but to fold em'

I limp in with 6s and below.  7s-10s I'll call a min or near min raise (depending on stash and being near the bubble of course) and raise everything else.  Sometimes I'll call more if my gut tells me to or the raiser is a fish or calling station.

ok so this doesn't sound like a very good fin position but I just came 174th in a poker stars tourney that was out of 3857 entrants though! and I just didnt pick up the good hands also I went out with AJ my opponent had AA! rough way to leave a tournament! if a couple of jacks had shown up I'd have won or could make a straight do you think you'd go all in with that hand? hard hand to fold preflop!

Ok so even AA pocket pair isn't always safe a guy shoved me all in with JJ my other opponent had 99 the lucky sod hit another jack on the flop am I right in thinking him shoving all in with JJ wasn't a good move at all its totally counting his chickens in my opinion as there are 12 over cards in the deck that would beat him so its a bad play shoving all in with that he just got very lucky that one of his 2 outs appeared! then he had the audacity to say bye like I had made a bad play! any idiot would go all in with aces it is the best pocket pair grr hope he went out soon after I'm sure he probably did as that was a really cocky shove! Even when I have queens I won't pay all in I would probably fold if its early on as I have had queens eaten up many times!

I'm guessing the all in bet was because he was trying to take down the pot without having to play the jacks to showdown.  I play them different each hand depending on the players at the table.  If there is a calling station, I will raise a little and hope to hit those trips on the flop and take as much dough from his stack as possible.  If the players are tight, I'll raise big to take the pot without having to play the hand.  I like to vary my play too - stops opponents getting a good "read" on me.

It was a silly play though he was just extremely fortunate because if he drew blank that would be my pot. Yeah I don't stick to same pattern either if they see me when when I originally raised it high take down a  pot they fold all round and sometimes I just collect the blinds but if they call back and I have junk I fold immediately. Oh just came 67th at full tilt poker bankroll mob exclusive tournament only won 5cents but this was out of over 1000 players! also went out from a kicker card I shoved all in when I hit a pair of jacks from flop my opponent won with kj! So I was unlucky I did read correct that most of them had squat just unfortunate she had that kicker card I had a 10 kicker

I would say that was another daft play just he got very lucky! These people annoy me they really need to visit poker school lol! the odds of picking up the other 4  cards needed for the 8 high straight are pretty long!

These fish will call with anything - anything connected, anything suited, anything with an ace and so on.  I've even seen players go all in with 23 off and win. Very annoying it is.

Thankfully there isn't too many at fulltilt. Elios,Atos,Coral and poker770 is crawling with them though! total fishtank that's what these poker sites are like even Unibet people shove all in too often when they have squat.

PKR is pretty much the same too. 

The best games you can get where players usually play properly are the "double or nothing" games. 

Just thought I would share a small victory... came in 16th in a $50 freeroll today at Bet Online Poker and won $1. Over 2,000 starting players and blinds at $10000/$20000 when my Q's were taken out by a straight on the river.

The river can be very fickle Katt but 16th place is still good and you can't fold queens you'd never live it down if you hit 3,4 or a boat and had folded. I once folded an ace and the other 3 appeared on turn and river I was sick! it was like A3 unsuited and I was early position. just plain bad luck!

Thank you all for your comments. I did feel pretty good still being in there to 16th place. What I want to know is with me pushing over $100,000 with my queens, what was that guy still doing in the hand with part of a straight until the river.... just kidding, he was pot committed when he called my push.... LOL

Shame he made it to the river - some players chase to the bitter end for straights and flushes.  I'm probably guilty of it now and then LOL
