Hiya LCB'ers
There is always someone at the Casino that can be super annoying and getting stuck next to them can be a total nightmare. Here are some of my pet peeves.........
Sitting next to someone who has bad breath or body odor!
A couple who plays the same machine especially Video Poker and the husband directs her every hand. If she don't know how then don't play! Or a couple that plays on the same Slot and he stands over her taking turns hitting the spin button all the while continually bumping your chair.
Players who bang the machine so hard you they are going to break it, like hitting it is going to change the outcome.
What is yours?

All mentioned here is very annoying, it completely spoils the fun. I think those guys that bang the machines hard are most annoying, I can ignore everything else but there is no way I can relax and focus on my play when someone does that, so in those situations I'm really forced to leave...

I have a problem is I feel as if someone is invading my space. There could be a group of people at one machine, next to where I play, and they could be really loud and aggressive pushing me and acting as if I'm not there. I understand that many come to casinos to have fun and enjoy themselves but most of them don't have any manners.

I hate when someone next to you is more focused on what you're doing than their own play. I've had some lean back in their chair, fold their arms and watch me play. That drives me crazy! It's also very, very, very annoying when someone takes up a seat on a popular game and plays one coin! OMG you just want to ask them why they bother.

My pet peeves are all of the above and...the people who have a big win next to me (like 1,200 coins) and they just sit there and let it rack up on its own. If they would hit the button it would immediately go into their total. And to top it off they have the machine's volume on LOUD and it is so noisy and takes forever. The first thing I do when I sit down at a slot machine is turn the volume to its lowest level. I hate all that noise. Is it just me?
When I play slots online I don't have the volume on at all.

OMG medtrans the loud machines is enough to send me to the moon! Oh and when they let the credits rack up ugh! Do you notice that a lot of them lean back in the chair and fold their arms as they watch the credits tally up? Sometimes they think they've hit something big and it's really not so by the time they lean back and fold their arms the credits have already racked up. I laugh inside! hehehe

Its absolutely not you med! I don't like a loud machine either and when someone sits back folds their arms and lets the big win play out it drives me nuts. When i go to the casino i am pretty much basically in my own world, i don't watch the player to my right or to my left.
I always try to pick a end seat so i am not sandwiched in between 2 players. Another thing that gets me is when a player will put the leg up in between my machine and theirs and they have their knee practically in my lap!
There is one player in particularly that is always at the Casino i go to and i swear without fail she will make it a point to sit smack dab next to me every time i go. Granted there is a few hot Video Poker machines that the regulars know but when she sees me playing its like she makes a beeline to the chair next to me. She can't wait until i get up so she can play the machine i am on too. The second i get up she plops down.
She watches my machine more than her own and i will try to click off the win as fast as i can so she can't see it but still manages to catch it and alwaysss has to comment on it. She hits her machine constantly and talks non-stop while she plays either to herself or me arggggggg.
Next time i go i'm gonna take a pic of her and share it lmaooooo! -

Omg froggy we posted at nearly the same time and mentioned the same thing about the arms folded lmaooo! To be honest its froggy that pointed that out to me. She told me once next time someone wins watch they will fold their arms and lean back in the chair. The guys are particularly prone to do this!

LOL lips I know who you are talking about that takes your machine when you get up. It's Dutch Boy! LMAOOOO
Ok, this is really bad but does anyone see certain people at the casino all the time and develop nicknames for them? Dutch Boy is called Dutch Boy because she has her hair cut like the boy on the Dutch Boy paint can except hers is black. -

That's a good one froggy! I will have an empty seat next to me, no credits or card in the machine and no coat draped over chair and will be asked if anyone is sitting there.
On the flip side of that a player will sit down and start to play with another players card and credits in the machine. How can you not see that. Sometimes i wonder if they do know and are hoping a player left the machine and forgot to cash out.

Meeeyoww!!! Man Lips, you guys are rough Boy if I ever go to a casino with you guys I'll
be sure to clear a path. Ouch!! LMAO Seriously though, I hear you, those are all good peeves if you will. It's funny because you know good and damn well most of the people doing these things have been to that casino before or other ones and should know the etiquette. One of mine is (I'm a non-smoker by the way) when you're sitting at a row of machines by yourself and someone takes the one next to and lights up using the hand that's closest to you. Ahhggh.... don't get Bongo started.....leave me and Froggy and Lips alone with our own row of slots, don't talk to us, don't even look at us, Ahhhhgggg!!! Read the directions too...... -

Yesss there is nothing more rude than to have someone sit right next to you when the whole row is clear light up and put the ciggy in the hand that seated next to you. I am a smoker but at that same time i don't appreciate a ciggy snarling up my nose when i am playing. I always try to smoke in the opposite direction and when i am sandwiched between to players i won't light up unless i know they are smokers too.
Cigar smokers are a killer too. I have whole rows clear out when someone is smoking a big fat cigar. -

This drives me nuts............... when a player that makes themselves so cozy they rest their foot on MY chair! Are you kidding me? This happened to me and i was flabbergasted! I mean what do you say to such a thing. I wanted to say "you are very rude and please remove your foot from my chair, you are not my boyfriend, friend or family"! But instead i just looked down at his foot a few times and finally he moved it!

When someone leaves half full drinks along the side of the machine and i go to set my purse down without realizing it is there and it spills all over the place. Come to think of it, i have spilled my own drink after forgetting i set it there when i pick up my purse to get more money out to feed the machine!

I was at the casino yesterday and came across another pet peeve that i knew i would have to share with LCB'ers............
Was playing a slot and to be honest wasn't doing too badly when a woman came over and sat down right next to me. She thought that the ONLY one playing was her, ya'll know the type. The kind that goes on and on about near misses, how they need to win, whining about how much they lost and non-stop chatter after each spin. All the while they are oblivious to what is happening to the players on the left and right of them because they are the star attraction and all that matters in the row is THEM.
Anyone ever experience this type? -

I can relate to this and know just how irritating it is lips , I like to pop into my local casino ( montie casino ) round the corner from home and I almost always get stuck in the situation you have just described so well or on the early hours of the morning if I'm winning on a slot I often get what I call the casino Flys hovering around me trying to bum some of winnings off me with them recitein sob stories ect kills me as I struggle to say no to people so most of the time I give in -

I hear you lips! The last thing I want to do when I am gambling is listen to someone next to me talk about their near misses. Like I never have any! I don't like to talk to anyone period when I gamble. I am there to win and have fun. But it is no fun to have to make small talk with a stranger and especially to hear about their near misses on a slot machine.
Another thing that bugs me is when they say...I was here last Tuesday and someone hit $40,000 on that machine over there. Then she proceeds to tell me how that much money was won. They were betting so much, blah, blah, blah. Why would I care if a person I don't know saw another person I don't know hit it big on a slot machine? Makes me SMH.

I also cannot stand it when people watch me play whether machine or blackjack. I can't stand people who want to gab while I'm trying to concentrate.
I especially can't stand the drunk idiot that comes up to the $100 BJ table in the middle of a good shoe, hit's 14 against a 5 and draws a 7. Then the dealer has a ten in the hole and draws a 6 beating everyone on the table but but the dumb ass that took her bust card.
I can't stand him even worse if the above guy also stinks.

OK so I go to my favorite slot machine at horseshoe casino in Indiana and a sign is on my machine that says reserved. I know that means a seven stars player has reserved the machine. Seven stars is the highest VIP player at Caesars entertainment casinos.
And hour later here comes this woman who reserved the machine. Thinking she must be a real high roller with that VIP status she was going to play Max bet. She ends up playing minimum on a penny machine.
Really? I would be making max bets! What a waste for casino and me!

On a recent trip to Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee i encountered a new pet peeve and my first thought was - i can't wait to share with the LCB members!
Ok so here i am minding my own business when i sit down at Dragons Law slot and slip in a $400 voucher after winning a decent win from New Buffalo slot. I was down about $200 bucks when i hit a decent bonus round and was right back where i started at $400. The woman next to me says"
"nice win and now you broke out even from what you started with"
I mumbled a thank you but what i really wanted to say was - who are you the bankroll police calculating my wins and losses by how much i put in the machine!
Seriously it's normal to look when someone wins but to watch how much a player puts in a machine and does the math along the way of each spin.............i don't think so!
