Harrah's Joliet

So on my Caesars Rewards card I'm getting 2 free nights this up and coming week at Harrah's Joliet.

I knew at one point we had a few from Chicago on here.  Any recommendations on what to do right in the area of Harrah's Joliet?

Last time I was in the big city I was sort of surprised on how much a person had to pay in tolls.  So am just looking for some general ideas if Lips or Froggy are still around.

Have been to Harrahs Joliet many, many times! This is a smaller Casino compared to others. What I do like about the Video Poker section is it is all in one neat spot in the back corner of a casino with a variety of games starting at nickel denomination. 

Diamond Lounge here is above average. The Reserve restaurant is definitely worth checking out especially for their steaks!

Now as far as Joliet downtown.....it's rundown and not much to see at all, unfortunately. I do know there is a museum in Joliet that might be worth checking out.

As far as casinos there is one fairly close in Joliet - Hollywood Casino - Joliet. Travel a bit further to Elgin and there is one of the only true River Boats left in the Chicago land area and that's Grand Victoria Casino.

Going to downtown Chicago where all the action is would be quite a trek and around 1-hour drive. You might be able to check out the train schedules to see if there are routes there, I am pretty sure there is. Would be much better than driving considering the nightmare of parking.

Well I ended up going to Harrah's in North Kansas City because of a concert going on there.  Nice place down there.

Someday I'll get over that way again, I really would like to get booked into the Horseshoe.  Yet the weird part is compared like here Iowa where the shoe has partnered with a few hotels to get you comped into.  They apparenlty dont have a hotel with that casino yet.

With my host apparently I have some power to sort of flash my way into any Caesar's property, just gotta figure out which way I want to go.  Figure out the entertainment and away we go.
