$10 Million Dollar Jackpot on Nickel Slot Machine
An 84-year-old retired waitress named Josephine Crawford won a whopping $10m in Atlantic City. Thanks to Alicia Weeks, the granddaughter for suggesting to granny to try the Megabucks progressive jackpot not winning for three years.
To qualify for the Jackpot Josephine had to bet 60 nickels ($3). After throwing in 20 bucks i the machine and no luck Alicia suggested quit for the night.
Josephine was about to hear about it so she kept right on going. On April 18th, 2006 that fated day she was down to her last $5 credits when five eagles splashed across the reels on the Mega Bucks Slot machine. That's when it flashed $10,010,113.48 progressive Jackpot winner at Harrah's Atlantic City.
Hot damn. ’tis true, my friends. Josephine Crawford won $10 million at Megabucks in Harrah’s Atlantic City only last week, becoming the largest jackpot prize winner in the US. She broke the record set in August 1994 of an $8.5 million jackpot payout.
