Trusting the wrong people Online

i would like to share something we you friends , a few months ago i met someone on facebook - i willnot menstion her country out of respect to everyone , she told me she had kids and a very long story , i kept talking to her as an online friend , she asked me for some money because she said she needed to travel toanother city to work , i felt bad so i sent her 200 euros viva western union , after a few days i saw her posts and it looked like she never travelled , when i asked her did you get the job and did you move to the other city ? I was blocked 

i felt like the biggest fool on facebook , didnt blame her but blamed my self , that night i had two bottles of red wine , just to forget

This is a classic scam, I have heard loads of similar stories and even some cases in which men sent tens of thousands of euros. Sorry it happened to you.  

Yes indeed, this is the oldest online scam ever. My best friend was also befriended out of nowhere with a woman from a foreign country, she told him a sad story being poor and what not, luckily I was there with him and read the messages. I took over the chat and pretended I was him and asked her how much she needed, first she replied that only if I can miss it.Well played of her. I told her to wait a couple of days and money will sent ($500) via WesternUnion and she will received the data asap. Messenger uninstalled.

Scammers were and always will be. They come up with new ways of cheating. We must not forget about this. I was deceived myself a couple of times, but I was almost ready for this, so it's not very insulting.

yes my son met a girl on line also. and  she came out to meet him in our state, and then he went to her state and when he came back because her mother threw him out and the girl dumped him, he was never the same again.
