  • Do people who understand gambling really want to be involved in encouraging others to gamble?

I wonder if a "complete understanding of gambling" odds ought to dissuade logical people from gambling?

So my question above could be a misinterpretation or a value judgement regarding the "complete understanding of gambling" job qualification.

But then again how "complete" is anyone's understanding of anything in life?

Much less complete understanding of such a super broad topic as gambling, with all its related connotations, practical permutations and possible philosophical perambulations?

If you want a writer who can assiduously employ alliteration and is an asinine wiseacre sans acrimony then I am (not?) applying for the job, obviously.

Jeses, what are you talking about?

They need someone for writing and obviously, this person needs to know about gambling. What is weird about that?

If you gonna write you need to know what you are writing about as well as a subject.

  • they searching writer not reviewer. Its better if some female be choosed.. If I can say one more word - someone from EU maybe? US market have litle different market and regulations.

  • Maybe a very stupid question ... And maybe I disqualify myself immediatly ..

But writers ... What are they gonna do?! ... I understand writing ... Will it be reviewing new casino's or ... ?!

  • Get paid to write for LCB about casinos?

That would certainly be a step up from paying to play in the casinos and then writing about them for LCB coins...

    ;-)

  • need me back?

I am much healthier now, just let me know!

  • Hi there :)

I would love to apply for this position. I have vast amounts of experience in this field and have worked as a online VIP casino Host for the Fortune Lounge Group, Social Media Strategist for Gambling City and much more.

I’ll be happy to send you my CV and references.

    Kind Regards,

    Dina

  • Vanenhox,

I think it's a safe assumption on my part, after reading your post, that you are indeed seeking some type of attention!  I personally think, you probably really want the job (NOT!) and are afraid to put yourself out there.

You obviously know how to use an English dictionary and put it to good use in writing your post.  Your usage of $5.00 words has almost left the topic of your post incomprehensible; not to mention inappropriate!  I sincerely hope my response to your post fulfills and satisfies your need for attention.

    Good Luck,

    Pokergranni ;)

  • PM sent

  • I wish I would have seen this sooner :(

I would love to be able to write and I have I feel def got knowledge about gambling/gaming in person and online so I mite just send you a PM anyways so that atleast in the future you will think of considering me for these gigs.

Anyways Thanks You for offering such a wide varity of services and knowledge right here on lcb for ;crazy' people like me I look forward to dorking it out here alot it that ok with everyone i hope lol gl2athumbs_up

We agree that a woman who completely has free time and desire can approach such work. But payment for work should be ideal.

  • is there any more writers you need? I have to say I love this place and I would like to participate in some writings, that will be awesome shoot me a mesaage of nfo please.

  • I wish I was good at writing because this sounds like it would be a fun job.  Sadly, I am much better at math.  :-(   Good luck in your search!  Hopefully one day all these casinos that do not allow US players will open up to allow us here in the US to play as well.  There seem to be a lot of them I know nothing about as I am not allowed to play there!  :-/

  • Just curious if in fact anyone of the people here that applied for a writing job have been approved and hired by LCB?

  • I am currently looking for someone who is knowledgeable in table games particularly blackjack or poker games but can also be versatile in writing any gambling task.

  • The big question is- how much will LCB pay someone to do this job? Will it be per word, per task, how much reasonable time one spends writing.

This sounds like a pretty cool job if your into it. I think I need more information before diving into a job like this one. I've been online playing for quite some time. I have already written a pretty big book on my own ( unrelated to gaming) so I feel I have the discipline to do it.

How many jobs of this similar nature are here at LCB and are you still offering the original job.

  • The position has been filled. FYI in the future any interest or questions pertaining to job postings should be sent to me in a PM.

  • Okay, I'll be sure to PM you in the future. Thanks for the heads up as always. Congrats to the person who is in that position. I'm still exploring the site here at LCB. Thank you again!

  • Wow!! Thanks for the heads up Lipstick!! What a great opportunity.

    Perhaps someone from down undersmiley

    Someone like myself? thumbs_up

  • Looking for more writers for our expanding network. Must know English and be knowledgeable of the gambling industry. If interested please shoot me a PM.

    Thanks

Wow!! What an opportunity. According to researchers, women are much more talkative than men. About 13000 words per day more*. I wonder if that includes writing as well?

i_love_lcb And it would be an absolute joy for a lucky somebody. Hopefully, me.

    wink

  • There’s the rub though...

It’s fairly commonly accepted that no matter what it is you do for work, in time you grow to resent it or even downright hate it. As my grandma used to say “that’s why it’s called work and not ‘fun’, because work is a four letter word” which while folksy, holds some deep, sage-like wisdom.

This of course always had me wondering why everyone always suggested, that when it came to a career, you should find something you love and build a career around it.

If grandma’s folksy wisdom was true, that sounded rather like deciding to only ever eat your favourite sweet at every meal for the rest of your life, until the very thing you used to cherish and look forward to the most in life, inevitably became the bitter pill you just had to keep on swallowing.

I tried expressing this sentiment to her once and with a wry grin I was too young to understand at the time she locked eyes with grandpa and said, “Exactly! Just like marriage...”

    A different generation indeed.

Think of all the random nonsense I’d miss out on wasting peoples’ time with on forums if I’d become a writer or for that matter, stayed married...

    Best of luck though.

    Cheers!

    Thanks The AverageGuy!!

I have always enjoyed reading your comments whenever we had a topic shared on the forum.  I don’t know where the idea of you wasting anybody’s time came from but I can assure you, it’s quite the opposite.  To successfully engage your readers is not an easy thing to do.  You’ve certainly held my attention a few times in the past.  You are no more average than the next guy just as the next guy is no more special than you.  Uniqueness is what we all are.

I really hope you’ll apply for the role and (lovingly) challenge that sage-like wisdom of your grandmother’s finally prove or disprove the idea of work not meant to be fun.  Let’s turn rebellious and redefine what work is and make it spelt with 3 letters.

Best of luck TheNOTSOAverageGuy!!  May the quill be with you if not with me!!

    Regards,

    Trinzies
