  • 2 cats. Like siamese twins. When i sit on the toilet, i have 2 layingbin front of me and when i go to bed, they go too. When im at work in the night, they dont sleep with my gf but wait downstairs by the window until im back.

    Cant beat that

  • I like both but I still have a preference for cats because they are independent and can fend for themselves.

  • i am a cat and dog person. i have 3 dogs and one cat and they all get along as if they are of one breed. love them all.

  • One photo explains it all:

    dogs_vs_cats

  • i defently are a dog person i have nothing with cats and i love the bulldogs tey have a nice charecter tey are abit funny and verry lovely i love my bulldog fransje .this was wen he was a young puppy .

  • .

  • I like both, but if i must choose only one, it definitely will be dogs.

And i know who totally agree with me:

  • I prefer dogs, they are more than pets, they care about their owners, cats just care about their own necessities...

  • I love cats. this is my favorite animal because it is less demanding and make their toilet alone.

  • I have 2 dogs and they are babies, I never owned a cat, .. question to cat owners, How come I never see cats going out for walks? whasssup with that? My dogs need their walks, I honestly never seen a cat on a leash on a walk? why is that? i seen stray cats but do cat owners never walk their cats, it might be a stupid question, but the joy of chillin with my dogs outside , ooooh I love when Im driving and my pup puts his head out the window, and you see the joy of the face, when breeeze runs through his face, dogs are funny animals, I wonder how it would be to have a little kitten around. (I would want to walk my kitten with my dogs tho,, hmmmm

picturiing it, I love animals, I saw squirrel the other day eating something and it was the cutest thing.

  • I’m a dog lover I can’t stand cats bad experience growing up with them. But I’ll take a cat all day over a dog in a fight lol. Only thing I hate about dogs is you have to walk them and cats you don’t so that’s nice.

  • We have a dog, well when I say dog I think it is a merekat trapped in dogs body, some kind of reincarnation.

She will sit up right on her back legs just turning her head from left to right looking for stuff, mostly discarded food the baby happens to drop and then she is off like a flash, grabs the food and then back to her bed to eat the goodies!

I used to have cats, but cats go were ever the food is and are loyal to whoever feeds them the best meals...... Maybe I was once a cat!

  • The rhythm of the meals is very different in these two animals, while an dog does one to two meals a day at regular hours, a cat must have access to food 24 hours a day cheesy

  • Dog all day long..loyalty over fickleness for sure

  • I had a dog called Luna i got it from it has 2 months old, it was stollen at the age of 2 years and i still didn t forget it. :'(

  • Dogs,especially little dogs.

  • Cats :)

I love cats ... Also like dogs though ... But yeah ... more a cat person I guess :D

  • Okay so I saw this thread topic and my first thought on cat vs dog was is this a fight? because a cat will own a dog. Cats are much faster than a dog but not stronger and not to mention they have sharp nails. I then realized that the topic is about which pet you prefer. I am a dog person for sure and I don’t really like cats.

  • Cats smiley But i all so learned like a dogs..

  • I'm a cat lover smiley

  • Dog person smiley

  • Well, i love them both.. :) But, if I have to pick one, than I'll chose dogs:)

  • Dog: the hoooman gives me food, he must be a God

Cat: the hoooman gives me food, I must be a God

    Cats only!

  • I thought earlier that I am dog fan, but, by accident we got a kitten and... you know the rest of this story? At least all cat lover guess. What a personality we got! And it seem that our cat has the best on both, cats and dogs.

He fetches if I throw his toy, he has learned tricks (and even does them if he feels!), he doesn't need to take out (now the weather  id bad in Finland) and so on. So, definetly CAT!

  • Cats are fluffy and self-righteous lazy people, and dogs are irrepressible merry fellows.

What about me - I like dogs so much!

  • Cats — which is funny since I’ve been a dog person for quite some time.

Then, sixteen years ago, my ex called me and said she had one remaining calico kitten from her cat’s litter, insisting it would perfectly complement my life. Now, it’s rather difficult to argue with a former girlfriend you’re a good friend with, so I had no choice really. A day later, my life turned upside down, and I was hooked, entirely on my way to cat conversion.

After that one (Gayle), I had one more (Theodora), also the calico cat, and even raised ten kittens from her two litters. That’s an experience on its own: There’s no way you can have a dull moment when kittens are using everything you own as their playground.

One of them, Hannah, is still with me.

I always keep tri-color ones. There’s something about them I find very attractive, and they’re almost always females (one in a thousand can be male, due to a second X chromosome, typically found in female cats).

I find them to be extraordinarily self-dependent, highly intelligent, super-intuitive, persistent, and patient. When you get to read about their biological features, they’re just plain astonishing.

But what I love most is how one has to earn cats' love and trust, which don’t come by default; instead, they’re difficult to attain. Also, I like how they mark you and everything you have — apartment, bed, wardrobe, closet, computer, working table; you name it — as their own.

As far as Hannah is concerned — now seven years old, in her prime — everything in my flat belongs to her, without a shred of doubt. And, anything I do is related to her. If I go to the kitchen, then I have to be doing something for her; otherwise, there’s no reason for me to be there. If I’m on the phone, I must be talking to her, and she keeps meowing or purring during the whole conversation. If I leave a piece of paper on the table, then I probably have done that for her to play with it.

There’s no other outcome in Hannah’s mind other than one indicating not only she’s the center of the universe, but that she’s the universe

In case I carry out the severe transgression of neglecting her — say, work for an extended period — well, enter Hannus Meowsaurus. She’ll flat out lay down on my laptop or keyboard to draw attention, or she’d train me to use my five-day beard to snuggle her while typing with both my hands.

Essentially, the message is straightforward: Dude, you’re sole purpose in life is to serve me, so don’t keep forgetting that and get your priorities straight.

The ultimate sin I can commit is — to cuddle some dog outside, which I often do. When I get back home, the smell makes Hannah give me a 'you slut’ look on the spot. She gets genuinely pissed off: Not because of a dog, but because I paid attention to someone else. Consequentially, I get to be thoroughly ignored for some time, and later, she expects nothing but some special treatment in return.

    Spoiled? Nah. :)

Finally, what makes cats so appealing to me is their free will. Whatever engagement we may have, it lasts as long as she wants it. There is no way you can force a cat to do something she doesn’t want to do. Quite an attitude, indeed.

I’ve read once on the internet how humans tamed animal species, especially dogs and horses, but cats domesticated us. As far as I could tell by personal experience and by talking to other cat owners, that’s the absolute truth.

Suffice it to say, with all pandemic’s development in 2020 and work from home becoming the new norm, Hannah is pleased beyond recognition. Now she can have her human slave all the time! :)

I guess, in the end, it comes down to whether one loves animals or not. As for me, whatever shape or form they may have, they are truly amazing. The exact species one prefers is only the granulation of love and understanding that we together share our beautiful planet.

  • And then, we have this, courtesy of Welcome to Nature Twitter feed, accompanied with the caption "It's nice to have a friend when you're down and out."

  • Now, this is something else, though true to its mantra: If it fits I sits. :)

  • I'm a cat person. I have a maine coon, it's 10 yo. Named Muffin c:

  • I'm a dog person but always wondered if having a cat would change my mind. I thought about it since they do everything themselves. My dog forces me to get out and be social, so thats a plus. Wonder if cats ever want to be walked?

  • I'am a dog person. My best friend name is Scooby. cool

  • Dogs in my opinion are the superior choice!

They manifest a unique combination of characteristics and attributes that cats don't. All cats want to be treated as royalty, and let's be real here, no ones got time for that...

     whistle

  • My cat died, so I am glad that people are happy with their pets. Cherish them and be kind to them. I miss my cat fuck.

Sorry to hear that man, thanks for sharing... sad

  • I am a dog person. I own german shepard and he is family member.

  • I used to prefer dogs over cats... But since my neighbor got a noisy dog, I begun to hate dogs...

I feel like the dogs bark at me every night... So annoying!!! Sometimes I thought of giving them chocolates~

Now I like cats and I have one black cat and her name is Eveready!!!

  • Even though I have a couple of cats I have to say that my vote goes to dogs especially my dog! She is a Prembroke Welch Corgi. Her sweet personality make everyone fall in love with her. As for dogs vs cats i vote for dogs because they are all about you and cats are all about themselves.

  • Dogs all day well more loyal than cats, cats just use humans for a place to sleep and food

  • Here's me enjoying a chess game with the cat we had when I was young, Elli.

  • And here's Elli chilling with the new kitten we got to keep her company, Lulu.

  • Both!  These boys were both rescues and ended up being soulmates.  I had "Shitty" the cat (my son named him!) for 16 years until a few months ago.  I'd never live without animals!

  • cats! without question! Where else do you get insanity in a small package? Like staring at the walls making noises and then suddenly attacking?

They are absolutely the most fun to observe ^^ Besides you dont need to walk them you just shove them out the door and they'll be fine for the rest of the day, untill the hunger comes... Had a cat for 20 years, was a very good friend and family member. Not that dogs are bad i like em too but if i had to choose between it'd be a cat

What a beauty! Not often you meet this, I have two cats at home, but they do not get along and a cat with a dog .... How is this possible?

  • I am a dog person :)

  • I like both dogs and cats, but prefer the dog, as a man best friend , it's closer to my heart!

  • I have two cats and I adore them :)
As for dogs - I like them too, but taking care of them is much more labor-intensive
So, as a lazy person, I choose cats :)
