  • Hi all!

I look in the magazines trying to come up with ideas of where to go or what to do but I realize sometimes the greatest vacations aren't always advertised in the magazines.

Has anyone gone on some type of all inclusive vacation such as a cruise or to a resort for a week or so tht you could recommend?

If you could tell me where, what and price range I would appreciate it.    I prefer all inclusive so that you pay for it in one lump sum and not constantly having to come out of pocket during the trip.

I was looking into Beaches Resorts, and for a whole week with a butler it was 7k which seemed good because it included EVERYTHING.  But of course something that costs a third of the price or less would be even better (ok.. we don't really need a butler lol).

  • Hi Allgood,

I think the only way to go is all inclusive too. I am not sure where you wanted to travel but i am assuming it is out of the US since your looking for all inclusive.

The best place i have found for great travel deals, advice and comments from travelers is www.tripadvisor.com. You simply fill in the dates and location and trip advisor will give you 5 or 6 different sites to compare for the best deal. They also give great ideas for locations too.

My only advice is to make sure your pop up blocker is off. Though Apple Vacations has awesome packages they tend to be pricey. I have taken trips and broken down the flight from the hotel and got great deals too.

I hope it helps you. For the most beautiful beach i ever went to it had to Punta Cana. I am a huge beach lover. Out of all the place i have been in the Caribbean, nothing compares to the beaches there.

Good luck in your search and let us know where you decide on going!

  • Hi there!

I totally get where you're coming from—sometimes the best trips are the ones that aren't plastered all over the magazines. I’ve done a few all-inclusive vacations myself, and they can be such a great way to relax and not worry about additional expenses.

I would recommend checking out Secrets Resorts or Breathless Resorts if you're looking for an affordable all-inclusive experience with a great balance of luxury and fun. They have locations in places like the Dominican Republic, Mexico (Cancun, Playa del Carmen), and Jamaica. The price range is usually between $200-$400 per night, depending on the location and the season, so for a week, you could get a solid package that’s under $3k for two people if you’re flexible with your dates. It includes food, drinks, activities, and entertainment—plus, no butler needed! 😉

Another good option is Riu Hotels & Resorts. They’re known for being reasonably priced and offer a solid all-inclusive experience without skimping on amenities. There are locations in the Caribbean, Mexico, and even the Canary Islands. The price range is usually around $150-$300 per night, which is much more budget-friendly than some of the higher-end places. You’ll find a good mix of relaxation and activities like water sports, night shows, and excursions.

If you're more into a cruise experience, Norwegian Cruise Line has some great all-inclusive options as well, with packages that cover food, drinks, and shore excursions. For a 7-day cruise to the Caribbean or Bermuda, you can often find deals starting around $2,000–$2,500 per person, depending on the time of year.

Overall, I’d suggest looking for a resort or cruise that offers what you need (like food, drinks, and activities) without the extra bells and whistles like a butler or super luxe extras, which can drive up the price. When it comes to pricing, booking in advance and traveling during the off-peak seasons can save you a lot of money.

Hope that helps, and happy planning! Let me know if you want more suggestions! 😊

  • Just wanted to add—if you’re flexible on destination, sometimes going a little off the beaten path can save you even more! For example, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic or Montego Bay in Jamaica often have great deals, and the resorts there are fantastic value for the money. You can usually find packages for under $3k, even during busier seasons. Also, if you don’t mind a smaller, more laid-back resort experience, Club Med has some great all-inclusives in places like the Bahamas and Mexico, and they tend to offer a lot of activities without the high-end price tag. Hope that helps with narrowing things down! Let me know if you need more suggestions! 😊
