A fond farewell to LCB

Hi everyone,

Some of you may have noticed that Ive not been around for a good few weeks now  Unfortuntely this has been due to ill health.

After 12+ years of being a moderator on LCB, my health has gotten the better of me and I have no choice but to leave LCB.  One year ago, I managed to get through a life-changing operation and I really throught I'd beaten the "Big C" however, cancer has returned in a different place and they have sad that it is inoperable and with some treatment, I "may have a few months to live".  Without treatment - obviously a lot less.

So with sadness in my heart, I have to say farwell to you all.  Thank you LCB for everything you have done for me, thank you LCB Team/friends for being the best there is and thank you LCB members for the laughs and fun we've had over the years. xxx

I am very sad to hear this kind of news from you. It was lovely having you around and you chasing casinos up for out free chips and shop items.

I hope you all the best with your treatment and however you decide to spend the rest of your life going forward. We will miss you dearly.

Blueday, cancer is perhaps the worst, just realizing/knowing, nothing can be done, even after doctors have worked as diligently to their fullest knowledge. Perhaps, you will fully recover. One just does not know. Maybe, just a quick death is more soundly, than suffering. If only we may be in the near-distant-future, and we had finally found the cure!  ~You were the first of the *admin to help me, when I started here. Thank you ( :   Live long and forever.. 

Blue, you are the kindest person on LCB and probably one of the nicest people ever. You were already onboard when I joined LCB and while adjusting to my role in the team I always looked up to you and your way of dealing with things here on the forum. 

You are in my thoughts and in my heart.

So sorry to hear the evil Big-C stroke back especially after battling it off successfully a year ago.

Thanks for all those long 8+ years during which I had a chance to work with you when giving away hundreds of thousands dollars through cashback bonuses and many other promos we did together to please LCB members. We made a legacy together.

Knowing you for this long, I can easily say you are one of the kindest persons I've ever met, hoping you find enough strength to fight back for, if not for eternity, then for some extra time to spend with your loved ones. Be strong!

I am heartbroken you have to leave. You are the foundation of LCB and we go way back to nearly the beginning. It was you that taught me about clotted cream and lovely comforts of England. Blue my dear you are and will always be the fabric of LCB. 

May you reminisce about the wonderful moments this life has taken you on. Beautiful children, grandchildren and great friends you share afternoon cream tea with surely adore you. 

In this life we are not measured by who we love but by who loves us. As far as LCB we are not just a community we are family sadden and will pray for you. 

I pray you don't have to leave us but when you do - may you enter your next journey with your husband greeting you with open arms.

Oh crap. Blue has been here from the start prettymuch. :( Sad to read this.Try to fill some of the ticks in your bucketlist with the last time you have and take the max there is to take, if your condition allows it.

And prepare yourself for a new adventure, death is not the end.

Sorry to hear blueday. They say your cancer is inoperable but may be the ticket to your success. You said you had a surgery before and it still came back so now that you are not going to operate all you have to do is stay where u are. You have 50 yrs to live.!

I don't know I just can't see it Blue has been a fixture here at LCB for so long, many many moons before my silly butt came around... Efff cancer... I sure hope that you are able to rest easy and if God is willing and that's part of the master plan just maybe old Prince Bhasin here could be right wherein you're good just stay the same way you are for 50yrs more RIGHT HERE with your online LCB Family!! No matter what happens I'm sure you will live forever immortal since your life evidently has left quite a mark on all of us and we will go on therefore you will live on as part of all of us. Thank you all for your lovely messages and kind words.  I would love to respond to you all individually but that would take me a month of Sundays however, please know I appreciate all your kindnesses, strength, reminiscing and words of wisdom..

I'm really missing LCB and during the time I have left, I'll certainly be dropping by to say hi to you all.

I do have an update.  They have offered me radiotherapy (not chemo as I'm too weak to take that)  They said I have around a year to live but with the radiotherapy, I'll get a few months longer.  Whatever it gives me, I'll be grateful.

Blue;  My sister and I just read these posts made by you today.  We are sitting here in disbelief tears in our eyes , a big lump in our throats and an ache in our hearts.  Wishing we could just throw our arms around you to let you know you are in our thoughts.   You are so very appreciated in every way for what you have done for all of us here at Lcb.  Thank you blueday for being in our lives and please know that you are in our Heart's !!!

I have an update!  I'm just coming to the end of my radiotherapy and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  I did end up in hosital for 2 weeks  a couple of weeks ago with pneumonia - not pleasant at all.  That said, I'm doing ok at the moment - tired a lot of the time but feeling a lot better than I did. 

It's good to see LCB is as briliant as it has always been - I have to say I miss my daily "chores" on here....every day!

I finished the radiotherapy ok but I've spent most of the time in bed - I am starting to feel slightly better though which is good news.  I'll nip back in a couple of weeks to give you an update all being well.

Your post has broke my heart, but your last post has given it hope that you might be ok for years to come- which I truly wish for you <3   I am so sorry this has happened to you, but then again, people say it is always the good ones, and that you are <3 Do what you need to to stay positive, it is EVERYTHING! Our mind is a powerful thing, more than most realize. I believe if we have the discipline, we can heal ourselves through positivity (some may call this prayer). I have not been here in quite sometime, I found out the beloved Blue passed away via an old pal on FB. Blue was an amazing woman, she was so wise and nurturing!

During the time that I had the privilege of getting to know Blue, I was really struggling with some personal demons. I found comfort speaking with Blue often. We spoke a lot about food and music - two of both of our favorite things. The conversations were exactly what I needed at that time. I will cherish her forever. 

Let's listen to Pink Floyd loud and say a prayer in her honor. Condolences to the family and friends mourning the loss of such a beautiful soul. 

Oh my Jenna such sad news indeed. Also i add my condolences to blue's family and friends. I have such fond memories of blue. I remember when i told her that one day i will beat her status and post count on LCB . We had a good laugh about it. I will miss blue sorely. I did not know her personally but in the long years here she has been such a light and i could PM her anytime. I am sure she had that relationship with a lot of us. I will miss you blueday ...with love Rena .

A fond farewell to our dear blueday...

I have received the sad news couple days ago that she had passed away last Friday. Our condolences to her family. I'm lost for words and very saddened to hear she lost a fight to cancer. She was a trooper and she will be greatly missed by her LCB family, forum members and casino reps that she worked with, for so many years.

Carol, ( Caz to her friends ), was the very first LCB moderator that I had hired back in 2008, and her hard work and dedication to this site and its members will always be exemplary.
She spent 12+ years with us, for which I will forever be grateful.
