  • 20 is a sick number, i have to say.  Best wishes to a Slotlnd and big wins for contesters.

  • I would first like to congratulate Slotland on being one of the best Casinos in my playlist, the last casino that gave me luck with a cash out within a 3-4 hour winning streak, and the only casino thus far that has my favorite slot game.  The Piggy Bank (UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC)

BUT MOST OF ALL "20" IS MY FAVORITE NUMBER, BECAUSE MY BIRTH DATE IS "20"

Please allow me to be the first to congratulate you for reaching this 20 year celebration, along with me 20th year birthday celebration on 4/20 (everyone knows what that day is celebrated with).  And of course it is also, Adolf Hitlers birthday.

    My story goes.....

    APRIL 20th BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA

My birthday happens to be April 20th.  A day that I never knew it was a special day of importance in history and a particular named day "Marijuana Day" for people around the world to celebrate marijuana.  Well to me, April 20, was only a special day for me, which I never celebrated until the day of my 20th birthday. Considering that I was an full adult now, I felt it was time to experience the life of a night club environment, wearing makeup, dressing with an outfit to be noticed, drinking an alcoholic beverage for the first time, and driving my brand new car that I saved my paychecks to buy my own car for that special day. I was ready with finally a day of excitement and to prove I could overcome my shyness, and finally learn the real life of adulthood.

And to add to this day, coincidentally, the first lady I met standing in line to enter the nightclub was born on April 20th, worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company with me and lived two streets over from my house. She was 3 years older, and I always wanted a big sister, or someone to look up to, guide me, and teach me about the other side of life other than school, books, and work.  She was my angel with a blessing I so long wished for in a unbelieveable wish come true. From then on, I believe in coincidences, blessings, and wishes can come true.  We have been best friends since that day, 38 years later.

The end to that April 20th night extravaganza, was that my naiveness did not let me know, that I was not suppose to leave my purse in the car on the seat so a burgular could break in and steal my purse.  Unfortunately, had I met me knew friend, I'm sure she would have warned me.embarrassed

*I had such a fantastic time, and finally was named a "Disco Queen".  I went out routinely every weekend after that and started searching for new nightclubs, until she got married.  I then relocated to California, back to school, and began choregraphing for dance groups.

  • My birthday occurs each year on the 20th of July so like the person who wrote above me 20 pertains particular to me as well.  I remember my 20th birthday easily because that was the last night that my brother and I who at the time were just making it on our own and homeless living out of our car hillside in Reno, Nv  was the last night either of us slept in car . I don't know how I knew it that night , but I did somehow and promised him we would never have to sleep in a car again and didnt since . After 8 months of living out of a car and holding down day jobs ... it  used to get so cold that the precipitation from our breath in the car would freeze the mechanism in our alarm clock so we'd be late to work sometimes ... but we sav'd it out. Love you lil' bro. Hope this was what i was supposed to write , if not i appologize in advance .

  • lokieluke,

your getting sleepy, your eye lids are becoming heavy. yes that's hypnotism which is the only way I can delve back in to the past 15 soon to be 16 years ago when I was turning 20. now as I recall I was living in a share house at Bondi beach with a bunch of backpackers from various country's around the globe. The majority of which were English backpackers. I was working for burger king at Bondi beach which for a young man was a dream job because daily there where many many bikini clad woman wanting there soft serve cone to help cool down in the harsh hot summer.

now my birthday falls in November which happens to be smackbang in the middle of our scorching summer. so back to the share house with eleven others and me and low and behold the garage of this share house was stacked top to bottom with 1970's disco getup from flared jeans and cords too velvet and lace shirts. so to celebrate my birthday not that we needed an excuse to drink and head out on the town we decided that as far as excuses go a young lads 20th birthday celebration was as good as any other excuse gone before.

so you can imagine a group of twelve backpackers dressed in disco running a muck on Bondi beach. Cyotes bar was the first stop a smallish sized bar on Campbell parade Bondi beach. Themed after the movie cyote ugly where at this bar it was encouraged for patrons to shake there groove thing on the bar. that's correct twelve of us blind rotten drunk dancing on the bar in our sweet disco threads.

hours passed and drinks consumed until closing time. after being ushered out the door a little after midnight we crossed the road and landed on the beach, the Bondi beach where there was no other way to finish this disco Inspired  birthday bash but to skinny dip at Bondi beach.

after a refreshing skinny dip in the Pacific it was clamber the few blocks home and sleep of the nights shenanigans.

    that was my 20th.

when I count too three and click my fingers you will be wide awake and feeling refreshed.

    one, two, three Click.

  • Kudos to the first three participants who were brave enough not only to dive in their long forgotten memories, but also to share how they celebrated their 20th birthday. Now the question is --

Will there be another 7 of you making it here before the end of this week, so we can have 3 winners of $50 instead of just one?

Oh, the suspense is killing me cheesy

  • I can not remember my 20th but I will be 71 this month and hope to remember this birthday.  I do remember when I joined Slotland almost 20 years ago.  Jack actually looked up the date for me but I can not find it lol. I only played a few slots then.  Two were Lucky Stars and Golden 8.  Boy have the machines changed. One of the best times at Slotland was when I won the first jackpot on Ninja.  I think I won the first jackpot on Winaday Ninja also ($5000) The staff from Chat to billing including Tech Support and Jack are all so courteous and professional. Thanks for the wonderful entertaining years.

You can see some of my good hits on Facebook under Slotland.

Hey Jack/Blue, I commend the two of you with the attention given to the LCB members, allowing us with extra entertainment and excitement as gamers.  It helps our focus and redirection on the possible gaming addiction embarrassedthat we may possibly have. There is a feeling of hope knowing there are other ways to have fun with the awesome contests gambling, per se.  Win or lose, we still had fun with less stress. It also, brings us closer together as friends and online buddies to share various life experiences, where others abroad wouldn't listen.

So I just want to say thank you.  And, the two of you as a team should consider starting your own casino.smiley that could have the same type of plan and impact for members that were strong enough to seek help through the Gamblers Anonymous Association.thumbs_up

Oh, what a shame you couldn't share another brilliant story with us, jewelnurse, as I'm sure it would be super-entertaining like the few other ones already sitting here.

Too bad I can't dig the date anymore for your old account, as I only see the details for the 'newer' Slotland account that was opened still a waaay back on Jul 29, 2011.

Plus it seems that you may have a great advantage in one of the future contest rounds focused on old Slotland games wink

Awww, that's so sweet of you, 2Late4Me. Many thanks for your warm words, hoping you'd enjoy future founds of this contest as well. And regarding the thing you mentioned --

@blue: What do you think about 2Late4Me's idea of running a joint-venture casino site? Just checked, and bluejackcasino.com is still available. Plus if being backed by LCB from day 1, our brand could be a major success!!

p.s. A note for Luke fifield, if he gets to read this: no need to google bluejackcasino.com, as it's not a casino site (yet) laugh_out_loud

What a thought; how wonderful that would be having our own casino lol.  I'd probably spin away all the profits hehehe.

btw folks - loving your birthday bash stories.  Would be great to get to the magic 10 figure so more people can win a prize.

  • My Birthday is in August.  When I turned 20 I went to Reno with my mom and our cousin Patty it was hot August Nights.  I had been playing blackjack in Reno for a few years since I was around 16.  They never carded and I never won too much so no one bothered me.  My mom gave me 100 bucks and said go have fun.  I took that 100 and went and played blackjack until around midnight.  I played at several casinos and ended up going back to the room with 2200.  My mom and cousin were in the room which meant they did not win.  When I came in my mom said how did you do?  I fanned out 22 100 dollar bills. She grabbed the money and took half.  She said since she bank rolled me it was only fair.  She and Patty went back out I went to sleep and went home with a nice bit of cash for my birthday.

  • 20... wow.. that was almost half a lifetime ago..

I was on the road year round at the time, living in hotels, working 12 hr days.. so odds are it was spent at a local hotspot, with a couple of my travelling crew, drinking entirely too much, flirting entirely too well, making memories to last a lifetime if only they hadn't been wiped clean by the next couple of tequila shots..

So.. much like any other night in my early twenties ;-)

    Happy Birthday anyway.

    Cheers!

  • happy birthday slotland!

so I'm pretty sure that my 20th birthday was spent at home with my 2 year old and my hubby. perhaps not a typical 20th party but i certainly wouldn't change it for the world. :)

  • GOOD LUCK TO ALL PARTICIPANTS FOR POSTING YOUR 20TH BIRTHDAY MEMOIRS "Weekly Contest #1".

This is going to be fun and with hopes the "Weekly Contest" forum for Slotland, or? is followed to have more members to join for the big wins?

Thank you again, Jack and Blue!thumbs_up

    --2Late4Me--angel

    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

P.S. I would also like to suggest a "Weekly Contest" to consist LCBer's stories of:  "What was the best winning strategy stories that has landed wins repeatedly, or more than once."? To include a Poll. If any of the Poll votes coincide with the best story, it should be easy to determine the winner(s). (But maybe this suggestion is too much for a Weekly Contest).  Although, it could possibly inspire more players for particular casino(s) or slots.  In example, how I used The Piggy Bank in my post at Slotland.smiley

  • I do want to tell you a story about my 24th Birthday.  My husband and I were married in my mother’s back yard under a grape

Arbor after only knowing him for 6 weeks. The 25th of this month we will be married 47 years. Let me back up to August 1971.

My mother and I drove to Las Vegas for vacation from Las Angeles where we lived.  I had been there 2 days and received a

Phone call from my husbands best friend asking me not to leave hotel to go see Elvis (as we had tickets) because my husband

Was in route by plane to surprise me.  So when he arrived in about an hour we went out by the pool and sat on a bench and he

Got on one knee and asked me to marry him.  At that time we had only been dating 2 weeks even thought we worked at the

Same company.  So that is one birthday I will not forget. We did play slots for several days before we drove home. Lol

Please excuse the spacing as I do not understand how to correct when I delete and correct

  • Thank you all for your wonderful stories.

The winner will be announced and credited shortly.  The new contest will be updated in the first post and I'll do a separate post to let you know when it's done....along with announcing the winner of course.

  • Hey guys,

Many thanks for to all brave enough and willing to rewind back a few years or decades and share some of your truly remarkable stories with us during the first weekly round of our little contest thrown in on the occasion of Slotland turning 20 very very soon!

While we didn't manage to collect 10 stories in total, I still couldn't resist helping blue to solve the tie by granting 2 $50 prizes to -- drumroll --

Luke fifield, whose Winaday account I've just graced with a $50 comp, and
2Late4Me, do you wish to have your Slotland or Winaday account graced with your prize?)

Congrats to the two winners above! And I'm already wondering who'll score in the next weeks round, that's kicking out now --

    Weekly contest round #2

Coz this in this week's round we're addressing those of you who've been with us for years wink

    Week #2 contest question:
Name the first 5 games ever launched at Slotland back in (yes!) late ninetees.

At least four names must be correct, while it's not necessary to list the games in the order they were launched. And also beware, as some of these games may no longer be available at present (small hint: it's 3).

So who gets it right the first this time...?

Yes, you're right. SilverKiss used to be super popular for the bet range starting at mere quarter and the possibility to pay out Jackpot with a moderate bet. We've long been considering bringing it back, perhaps with slightly refreshed look... Who knows, it may still happen --

Nice to see you back, Cat50. While HeavyMetal is sadly one of the slots that is no longer available, LCB itself allows you to at least have a glimpse of how it looked like:

But I'm hoping you'd find more games you like across all our brands

  • Are my eyes deceiving me, or do we already have 10 posts with -- SURPRISE-SURPRISE -- correct answer per weekly #2 round?!

    ★★★ clap-clap ★ G O O D ★ J O B ★ E V E R Y O N E ★ clap-clap ★★★

This means I'll be awarding NO LESS than THREE of you with a $50 prize on Monday. Will anyone have the balls/guts of copy-n-pasting the correct answer here to have more winning candidates to choose from...?

Yes, this week it's literally all it takes to have a chance to win. Sounds too easy?

Hah, no worries, I'm gonna make it MUCH-MUCH harder for you next time

    Wishing everyone a great weekend!

  • Hey guys,

With Monday here it looks like a contest round #2 came to an end. What it was all about? I took you for take a small trip back in timeby asking:

    Week #2 contest question:
Name the first 5 games ever launched at Slotland back in (yes!) late ninetees.

Thanks to TheAverageGuy, or better off his searching skills we had a correct answer per my question shortly, which made it super easy for everyone last week, coz all it took was to copy-n-past the right answer. Well, not exactly how I envisioned this but heck, that's life --

Now the good news is, that since we had 10+ entries made so far, I was lucky to draw not one but THREE winners from all those who managed to respond. Who won?

    BARBIELOKIE
    TALAVERAJL
    JDPENNYD

Congrats to lucky three winners above (courtesy of random.org), whose Winaday accounts have just been graced with $50 contest prizes, plus many thanks for taking part to anyone else who may not have won.

But hey, with contest #2 being over, we have barely started --

    Ready for round #3??
    wink

  • Who's ready for more? For sure I am! cheesy

So it's time to post rules for this week's contest round #3, this time hopefully something that Wayback machine won't help you with, wink-wink @TheAverageGuy --

As of today Slotland Facebook page has around 5,500 page likes. Can you guess how many new fans it got so far in 2018? To make the guessing a bit easier for you, here is a small hint for you:

    A/ Less than 427
B/ 427 or more and less than 731
    C/ 731 or more

While I'm primarily expecting you to state option A-B-C, feel free to throw in a particular number. Coz the person with the closest guess will have their prize DOUBLED.

Plus a small reward for our FB fans, old and new. If you win and happen to be a fan of SL FB page, you get +50% extra on top of your $50 prize.

Last but not least, again if we have more 10 or more guesses, I'll be picking THREE winners instead of just ONE.

Wishing you all tons of luck!

    Cheers Jack

  • google translator is stupid!

  • Thank you for the chip!  I love winning!

Oh talaverajl the 16th of August is also my B-Day and not only is it the day Elvis died but Aretha Frankin also died on 8/16 of this year.

So both the King (of RocknRoll) and the Queen (of Soul) died on our birthday.

Thanks to LCB and Slotland for the fun contests.
