Hey everyone,

Some of you may already know that being it Thursday means that we have another batch of winners in our LCB exclusive BTC value predicting contest. As usual, here comes a small recap first --

During the whole last calendar week, Monday Nov 20 through the end of Sunday, NOV 26 (23:59 EST), you had to estimate a FUTURE value of Bitcoin on this past Wednesday's midnight, i.e. 23:59 EST, DEC 6.

Now that it works again, Coinbase charts page tells me the figure you were all chasing in this round: $10,677.00.

And boy, was it a bumpy ride this past week with Bitcoin first going not just through $10K but soon after also $11K(!!) mark, raising by about $3k in just one day with only sky being the limit at that time. BUT just a few hours laters though it dipped below $9K during -20% flash-crash, out of which it managed to climb up to Wed midnight value of $10,677 (+30% compared to last week's $8,220). After which it dipped down again below $9K mark at the time of writing. Definition of pure insanity, huh?!

SO WHO GOT THE CLOSEST THIS TIME?

While talaverajl did great job in calculating the difference for most of the winner, he only forgot to include jewelnurse's guestimate of $9,909, so the official leaderboard slightly differs from what he posted above:

In other news:

I FINALLY got a deposit up over $200 and played it down to $100. Then I decided to play the Gladiator Game. I played and played. The bonus balance got up to $106 before I gathered all my armor. My real balance dwindled to $14 but I thought I'd be okay once I got into the bonus. BONG I was WRONG. It toook almost my entire bankroll to GET to the bonus. And guess what? My gladiator lost.  I didn't  win ANYTHING. 

I'm pretty sour about the experience, tbh.  Oh well. That's what happens when you make STUPID ASSUMPTIONS.YOU CAN'T DO THAT IN ONLINE GAMBLING!  I know this-- yet I continually DO  this sort of thing.  SMH.

The same thing happened to me the first time I played gladiator... but the next two times I completed the bonus I won a couple hundred one time and then a lot more the next time.  This pattern was true of the "scary" game where you have to collect the shovels too.  I cant remember its name though... guess I'm getting old now.

Doh, so sorry to hear that Gladiator Games were so mean to you. But hey, on the other hand I see that some other games like Olympus brought you luck.

And heck, winning close to $400 in the bonus round of The Reel De Luxe with a $.50 bet purely screams L-U-C-K. Especially when not bound by any bonus terms, and hence perfectly withdrawable...

Jack,   First time I got over $200. Played it down to $100. I laid it out just like it went down. I'm not going for "almost $400."  The goal is  to build up a decent bankroll so that I can take a shot at a big payout. I wouldn't have stayed with Gladiator had I known that the bonus balance I built up is no guarantee. I assumed I'd at least win something back from the audience/charisma category like I had in other bonus rounds-- even if I lost the fight. That was my bad. Put all my eggs in one basket, so to speak.   And I like that you're rooting for me to put on the hand brake, but seriously- that's never gonna happen, LOL!  I'm set on taking your money in a very uncomfortable way. :))))))))))))))  Don't put the hand brake on my dreams, Jack!

i didnt see this to yestaday but i actuly thought i posted first as uk time is in front of usa :) i thought 12k ish then thought id go with 12345.67 for a laugh  if we do win i dont mind taking a 3 way splt just make sure u dont copy me next week lol

i guessed right before cut off, didnt have a chance to see other guesses i just figured with my guess wanting to be somewhere over 12k but closer to 12 then 13, that it would be my only chance to guess 12345.67, i actually type o'd by putting 56 cents but i can assure you that my guess had zero to do with anyones guess and was actually a bit bummed to be that close to someone elses guess. But the way these have been going most guesses have a range of about 4 hundred either side of the actual result. I dont understand what the error is here. especially since i luckly ended up having a different answer. Its a classic move on price is right to add a penny to someone elses guess, . WIth alot ofpeople guessing every week. I dont think anyone copied anyones work.. im sure im not the only one who checks btc value multiple times a day... but ive put in my fair share of research time
