i play well on sky poker often and i had agreed to myself that when i get for example 65 profit i cash 50 and play with 15 in vegas section but i do 5 pound spins only so i got into this scenario around 1am but didnt have balls for £5 spin had 40p spin on happy days and after a 90min feature got£270 so i lectured myself about the £5 spin as i would of smashed it 2 nights later same scenario didnt have balls got 5 curtains on reel king 2nd press at 60p got£300, have i just mugged myself?

Sometimes the slots pays better on smaller bets,belive me I got 400 $ on break the bank again slot  in free spin mode with just 9 cents.I know it is incredible,but I swear it's true.

Breaking da Bank again is a good example that you can cash out more from free spins when you play smaller bets. Look at the bad screenshot-thread. I have won ZERO credits from bonus round from 0,81 Euro worth, the other day I won lousy 20 Cent with the same bet.

Michael Goldstein, no point in bothering yourself with things that you could done differently. You say you wanted to play with 15 pounds you were left with after withdrawal of 50. Well, to be honest, I think it would be a silly thing to waste 15 quids on 3 spins, its like 5-6 seconds of playtime... 40p is much more reasonable as you can expect at least 50 spins for your 15 pounds. And if I understood well, you won 270 pounds later so thats totally cool, nothing to regret for from my point of view.

I also think that betting in higher denominations plays out completely different and chances are you would have never got a big hit spin. At least in my experience most times i up my bet on a slot that is on "good roll"  it goes down the tubes and will pick back up when i go back to lower bet.

I am totally agree with you my fellows. You often win more when you play low bets. As I saw, when I play on low bets and I win, I increase my bet with one coin an so until they stop paying and then I go back to low stake.

I think it really is up to how much you bet. So if you had bet more you probably wouldn't win that. That is just my opinion i'm not really sure how this random generator works on slots.

I absolutely agree with all above comments. I have won more with low bets than I have ever won with higher ones.. And if the games payout overall is good, you can win super nicely with low bets as well. Others already mentioned their examples, but I have won for example, 450€ with 30 cent bets and I am sure, if the bets were higher, I would have never got this win because it came from a long low--rolling session while if I had higher bets, I would have had a dry run and lost all..For me, 1.20€ bets are maximum and even then I feel it's too high.. Your winnings are great so don't be hard on yourself. 

I have also found that once you make the playthru with ANY on line casino you then start to lose your money VERY quickly. I have found that if you do not withdraw immediately upon making the playthru, then you will lose the accumulated money. It is only under rare circumstances that you actually win more money. It can happen, and it has happened to me, but more often than not, once I make the playthru I start to lose almost immediately. Has any one else noticed this? I have also noticed that if I find myself on a winning streak and up my ante, I start to lose, the winning streak disappears. I find myself wondering if the slots are not set to pay out more on the smaller bets and less on the higher bets. Maybe I am just paranoid, but that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't true...lol!

I have experienced it all. Playing with small bets and winning big, meaning betting 0,20 cent on JackandtheBeanstalk and winning 350 euro or betting 1$ and winning 1000 with it. And.... playing with 6,25 euro and winning 800 euro. It depens on the software, I guess. On a BetSoft plattform I would never  bet big, once I lost about 22000$ (!!!!) because of betting big. It was a very curious experience because I got a bonus in the amount of 1000$, won somehow up to 22000$ and lost it, even the originally 1000$ because of the shock. On some different platforms like BossMedia you can bet big and win big. In my opinion it depens on the casino software and even there it depens on the game. I hope you can laugh about the 22000$.

You need to be extreemly lucky to win big in casinos and most of the time bigger winnings is possible to get when you play small. That means you have a better chance to get some free rounds etc...

I would gradually put my bet up higher if i see the slots are giving good hits, sometimes it works but most times it changes from good spins to shockingly no wins for 10 presses straight, ive also noticed that when i sign up at a new casino that i would never hit a freespin or bonus round through out my session which has just happened to me with 3 casinos in the past week, so yes it could very well be just the software, microgaming has been very tight with payouts lately, netent is looking dry also.

I try not to bother myself too much with "what if" situations. I think it is pointless, so I would just recommend to let it go (of course, as much as that's possible).
