Todays tip particularly applies to Poker, and it is "Do not play when on Tilt".  Being on tilt means your not thinking logically and can lead to you playing higher bets, or worse poker.  This tip also can apply to playing slots, or other table games.  You're basically playing worse because you are upset or not in the right mind to play.  The best way to avoid playing on tilt is to get up and walk away from the game/table that you are at.  Go and have a break and then try and calm yourself down.  Once you are calm, feel free to continue playing again.  Or maybe its time for the end of the day break to start fresh again the next day.  Good luck to everyone!

I've been retired from the gaming industry for almost 15 years now.  I spent 22 years watching just about everything a person could see in a (land-based) casino.  Gaming has definitely changed since the good ole' days and not for the better in my opinion.  Of course, I'm the proverbial romantic at heart and your basic old fogey!

In any type of money for play, you had better know your game, its rules, and all the odds that apply to it.  Oh, you will get the luck factor that comes into play, after all it's part of the game.  That's the rare exception and assuredly not the rule!  I have watched thousands of people win, but I've seen hundreds of thousands lose!  They don't keep all those pretty bright lights on 24/7 by giving away money.  One must remember, they are just games and you're not going to get rich playing them.

The tips I can suggest and this is just from my experience are:

1. Educate, Educate, Educate, yourselves!  Tip the odds as favorably and legally as possible toward yourself.

2. Learn bankroll management and work it.  Absolutely no chasing good after bad trying to win back what you may have lost. Stick to the bankroll. The numbers don't lie, it makes the whole gaming experience more enjoyable, and you won't be kicking yourself in the hinney afterward.

3. You must have a time limit!  This is whether you're winning, losing, or even. Know when to hold'em, know when to fold'em, and know when to walk away.  (There's a song that kinda' sounds like that.)  ;)

4. Take frequent time-outs to refresh and refocus.  It helps in the mistakes area.

Typically, I am the last person that would give any advice on any subject lol but since this more about sharing experiences, I thought it couldn’t hurt!  For me, I always do as much research as possible before signing up for anything. I’ve learned that you have to read the fine print and even then contacting the sites customer service and asking them about any stipulation that may apply to any bonus whether it’s a no deposit or match bonus. By doing so, you leave no room for misunderstanding which ultimately leads to you not receiving as much of a payout you anticipated or none at all if you violate the terms that are not mentioned in the main bonus description. :).
