After presenting a trio of hot November releases, Yggdrasil Gaming has surprised the iGaming community once again before the month’s end by launching a brand-new intergalactic journey, Avatars: Gateway Guardians.
Previously, players had a chance to get acquainted with John Carew Blackjack, an innovative table game variant featuring former Aston Villa football player as a virtual dealer.
As the month unfolded, Yggdrasil lined up a fantastic winter game in big reel portrait mode, 9K Yeti, produced in collaboration with 4ThePlayer only to bring an epic exploration slot arcade Aldo’s Journey on November 21st.
In its latest release, players are challenged to free the Avatars and earn multiple cash rewards for helping them escape the Earth’s orbit.
Designed Exclusively for LeoVegas
As an exclusive extension of the portfolio at LeoVegas, Yggdrasil’s extraterrestrial slot edition comes with a Multiplier wheel each time a player lands on a Hotspot area. While spinning at random, the wheel adds up to the Multiplier and potentially triggers a 20x booster, taking all wins to a hypnotic and supersonic level.
There is also the extra spins mode on board, activated when three scatter symbols land on the reels. As expected, the number of rounds is defined by the number of scatters in base game.
Product owner at the Swedish studio, Natalya Ovchinnikova, commented:
“Avatars: Gateway Guardians promises to take players on an interstellar adventure full of thrilling missions to complete in order to collect great rewards.
With astronomical win potential and out of this world features and graphics, we’re confident the title will become a firm favorite with Leo Vegas’ customers.”
By introducing exclusive content to its members in Sweden, LeoVegas is putting maximum efforts to earn itself a King of Casino title. According to James Ford, head of casino at the Swedish mobile gaming company, the existing portfolio provides a great opportunity for the brand to promote premium digital content, updated with new and innovative titles from the game changers such as Yggdrasil Gaming.
“The fourth instalment of Leo Vegas’ collaborative journey with Yggdrasil and the fifth for the Leo Vegas Originals series, this game positions itself as one of the most unique looking slot games on the market.
We would like to thank Yggdrasil for allowing us to spread our creative wings on this project while continually providing us with invaluable expertise at each step of the way. Today we are proud to present Avatars: Gateway Guardians and we hope our players will enjoy the game play experience,” added Ford in a short interview.
NetEnt COO Joins the Ranks
In the meantime, Yggdrasil has enhanced its strategic division by appointing former NetEnt chief operating officer Björn Krantz to lead the company’s new Publishing business. Krantz, who signed an agreement with Hard Rock International in New Jersey back in July 2018, will join the team in January 2020 and help it expand its global footprint.
“I am delighted to have been given the trust and confidence to lead the newly formed, and strategic publishing division, which is clear proof that Yggdrasil means business, and continues to invest in innovative and future proof value propositions globally.
It will be an honor for me to work together with the Yggdrasil team, and to execute on the plan to realize the full potential of the Publishing growth strategy and objectives. It goes without saying that I cannot wait to get started early next year,” added Krantz.

Sounds like a Disney movie with Chris Pratt, lol. All jokes aside, this is a pretty unique title and I am looking forward to seeing how well it does comparedd to their other slots. Yggdrasil has been super busy lately it seems...

I have to admit I wasn’t really expecting a fourth title by Yggdrasil in such a short period of time. The game looks interesting according to the description, we’ll see if it lives up to its expectations.
