Back Vesper Casino Enters Two Month Probation After Removing Fake Games

From Blacklisted Status to Supervised Probation

The last time we wrote about a burning issue in iGaming, explicitly known as “good casinos gone rogue”, Vesper Casino was in the midst of chaos, trying to get out of its own mess for misleading players with pirated software and other forms of foul business practice.

For some, the brand’s wrongdoings might have raised a caution flag or two, but for the entire iGaming community on LCB and beyond, such a blow was equivalent for theft, deception and ultimate backstabbing.

Seven months after being discovered, this ill-fated trickster hub is finally under a new management, whose first task was to remove fake games and regain the confidence of its players.

How it All Started

The biggest problem with this operator started back in October 2020, when we discovered its first attempt to host fake games whereby many products originated from renowned providers, such as Quickspin.

At first glance, these “remakes” didn’t look that different from the originals, but this was due to the mobile version which is optimized for touchscreen. To cover its tracks, Vesper Casino mixed it all up a bit, not giving experienced customers a chance to notice the dissimilarity between genuine products and fake ones.

As some of you already know, the casino’s bogus games also included software from Novomatic and its interactive division Greentube, as well as Igrosoft, Aristocrat and NetEnt – a favorite candy for piracy, sourced from an unknown and fake domain.

Among the textbook examples are Starburst from NetEnt, Book of Ra by Novomatic and Aristocrat’s Red Baron, all seeded on an unofficial domain – Casinomodule.

To protect players and warn them about Vesper’s transgression, we put it on our warning list until further notice.

After getting in contact with NetEnt and reporting about pirated software, Vesper Casino almost immediately switched the fake games with original titles, avoiding any suspicion and responsibility whatsoever.

Although some progress has been made, we still couldn’t get in touch with the casino representatives and discuss about this development. In short, Vesper was still hosting fake games from Aristocrat and Novomatic a month later, in November 2020.

On Probation for 2 Months

Raising a red flag on LCB after all these events has buried Vesper Casino and placed it very low on our Casino Warnings and Rogue Reports list, causing many players to withdraw money from the cashier and close their accounts.

Nevertheless, after many months we received an update from the operator, claiming that it’s now under a new management who erased all fake games from the library. According to the official rep, all slots are now on Slotegrator eGaming platform, including Novomatic/Greentube, Aristocrat and NetEnt.

Indeed, our vigilant software scouts have conducted a new thorough investigation and confirmed that Vesper no longer offers products from “unlicensed providers”, hoping to have a strong comeback and become fully legit once again.

We hereby put it on probation for no less than two months, closely monitoring its activities online and watching if any of the games originate from fake servers. The management and software have changed, but the real question is if players are ready to accept it so lightly?

Stay tuned and you’ll find out very soon.
