Back NetEnt and Gaumont Finally Release Long-Anticipated Narcos, Video Slot Based On The Popular TV Show

The long-awaited Narcos video slot is finally here thanks to the cooperation between NetEnt and Gaumont, one of the world’s oldest film studios. Ever since this deal was announced back at the beginning of 2018, fans have been eagerly waiting for this release to come out.

The NetEnt’s latest blockbuster branded title is based on the Netflix TV series that was popular all over the world. And just like in the multi-award-winning crime drama from Gaumont, the character of the notorious gangster, El Patrón, the brutal boss of the Medellin Cartel, takes center stage.

Action-Packed Game

Set in the 1980s, as the scale and the influence of the drug has reached its peak, players will be able to see in the backdrop of the reels the battle between the police, DEA and drug lords.

This slot has the standard five-reel, three-row grid with 243 bet ways. When it comes to the visual aspect of the title, it’s a mix of 3D and hand-drawn. The game also features Bonus Spins, where on every spin there is a chance…

…that one or more high-value symbols turn into Wilds. When Wilds are part of the winning combination, they start walking the reel, moving one step to the left with every spin which gives this game potential high-stake payouts.

BUT…

…That’s not all!

In addition to Bonus Spins, the game contains a variety of other features such as:

  • The Drive-By feature, randomly triggered, it will transform some of the high-value symbols into wilds
  • The infamous Locked Up feature, which is triggered when three Locked Up symbols land on the same row. It locks up a random coin win symbols as well as the golden briefcase which delivers either multipliers, upgrades or big coin wins.
  • During the main game, players will also get to see the Walking Wilds. When these symbols appear they will remain on the reels while a player is winning and move one place to the left with each spin.

Bryan Upton, NetEnt Director of Games, said:

“Since we first announced the deal with Gaumont to bring Narcos to the reels, the anticipation among players and our operator partners has been huge. We are confident that the games will more than live up to its lofty expectations and add an exciting new option to our unbeatable branded catalogue.”
