The company that specializes in providing top-notch sportsbook solutions, SBTech, has just announced another major omni-channel partnership that will cement their position in the USA.
Namely, the newly struck deal will see them join forces with the Golden Nugget Casino brand, which has operating venues in several states. This deal, however, concerns Golden Nugget premises in the states of New Jersey and Mississippi – to be exact, the cities of Atlantic City and Biloxi.
PASPA Overturn Works Its Magic
This year's decision by the US Senate to lift the PASPA act and effectively make sports betting legal across all of the United States continues to bear fruit. Since the federal ban was lifted, SBTech formed a partnership with Resorts Casino Hotel, before coming together recently with the Golden Nugget.
Atlantic City is, of course, a reemerging hotspot of US gambling – this year saw the opening of two brand new casino resorts, Hard Rock and Ocean Resorts, and will prove to be a great ground for company's future success.
As more states are expected to follow in the footsteps of New Jersey and Delaware, the US public keeps an eye out for NY and California, which will be opening their sportsbooks within the next year or two.
Officials' Two Cents
Golden Nugget's General Manager and Senior Vice-President, Thomas Winter, says of the deal…
“Since sports betting is a critical component of our successful expansion for online betting and gaming in the US, SBTech persisted through our arduous review process. In the end, we knew SBTech was the right partner for us because of its industry-leading retail and online technology, their significant and diverse regulatory experience as well as its innovative product-driven approach.”
Golden Nugget will benefit from the upgraded front-end, custom-designed for them, as well as a bespoke trading strategy and automated process. Richard Carter, SBTech's CEO said that “he is confident of the potential for further collaborations in multiple jurisdictions.”

I like where this is going. Sports betting in the US has finally taken off, and this is a great thing. They were trailing behind the rest of the world.
