The new year at SBTech commences with an omen of changes with one important novelty taking place right at the betting and gaming company's top hierarchy. The board has decided to appoint a new non-executive chairman - Gavin Isaacs!
Isaacs is a former Scientific Games CEO and a deputy chairman – he spent four years with the wildly successful supplier. During his spell as their chief executive, he watched over multiple acquisitions that resulted in doubling the company's yearly revenue to $2.9 billion. This was achieved in only two years.
At SBTech, his key mission and objective will be to speed up the company's growth on the US' thriving sports betting market.
SBTech relies on Isaac's 20 years’ worth of experience to lead them towards their goal of the world's fastest developing sports betting scene. After leaving SG, Isaacs was scouted by several big companies looking to recruit his services...
...However, he opted for SBTech due to, as he puts it, “company's superior technology, entrepreneurial approach and scope for growth across a range of regulated markets.”
Comments Isaacs: “The business has already made significant in-roads into the newly regulated US sports betting market and I am extremely excited to be able to help and advise the senior management team to expand that even further across 2019 and beyond.”
Provider's new chairman was held executive roles in several other notable companies as well...
...For one, he spent seven years with Aristocrat Technologies and a part of that tenure he spent as their president. He was Bally Entertainment's chief operating officer and executive vice president and SHFL Entertainment's chief executive officer.
Richard Carter, SBTech's chief executive, said of naming Isaac's credibility and experience:
“This is a huge coup for the business. Gavin’s two decades of successfully leading, transforming, and acquiring some of the biggest businesses in the gaming sector will be a massive advantage for us, particularly in the US where we have already partnered and gone live with several large brands across multiple states and where there are many more opportunities to grow.”
The company is undergoing a string of executive switches at top of the hierarchy, with Isaacs being only one among numerous new signings...
...Most notable of which is former Paddy Power Betfair B2B director, Dave Hammond, who was named chief operating officer at the beginning of December.
Newly-appointed personnel has a lot to work with, as the company announced a multi-year content partnership deal with Red Tiger Gaming, who has already completed the integration of provider's casino platform.
Prior to that, a five-year extension contract was signed with Bethard, to mutual satisfaction after a period of togetherness.
