Pragmatic Play's reach in Italy has been extended by a mile thanks to the latest partnership agreement this popular software developer has signed with this country's major platform provider, Microgame.
Microgame will be tenth operator in Italy that Pragmatic has teamed up this year as this regulated European market has clearly shown a huge surge in demand for their games...
...This effectively means that Pragmatic’s full portfolio containing slots and live table games as well as other content will be made available with Microgame's operators. Some of these games will include Da Vinci's Treasure and Wolf Gold.
More recently, Pragmatic has entered into the live casino game by acquiring Extreme Live Gaming, which was an agreement that significantly enhanced the company's product portfolio to include scratchcard and bingo games, too.
Pragmatic Play's Chief Commercial Officer, Melissa Summerfield, has commented that the entire company is delighted to have entered into a partnership with Microgame who is a well-established provider in an “exciting market,” and added:
“Cementing our position as a premium provider in regulated markets is central to our strategy, and this agreement is another step towards our ambitions as we grow our mobile-focused, client-centric delivery.”
Microgaming's Managing Director, Marco Castaldo stated: “We are proud to be hosting Pragmatic Play’s diverse library of content, and we know that our partners will benefit from the addition of their games. Pragmatic Play is renowned for its immersive, innovative content, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
During last month alone, Pragmatic has inked multiple new deals, including the one with Come On Casino. Also at the beginning of October, one of the biggest brands in the online poker world, PokerStars, has also committed themselves to Pragmatic by signing a multi-year agreement that will see the provider deliver games to them...
...And in September, they were busy conquering a different peninsula – first, they entered the Spanish market through a Casino777 deal and which was shortly after stepping onto the market of the neighboring Portugal.
Italy is busy restructuring their iGaming scene – the country's regulatory body, Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli has, back in January, launched a tender to award 120 online gaming licenses.
This is in the final stages as we speak and it is expected that first wave of these licenses will be sent to operators before Christmas. New online gambling licenses will be valid until December 31st 2022, after which they will have to be renewed.
