Playtech Announces New Distribution Agreement with 888casino

Back

After a relatively quiet month at Playtech, the world’s leading gambling technology company is finally back to announce a new partnership with 888, another key player in its portfolio and the online betting sector.

As a result of this agreement, 888casino brand will be able to host a range of innovative live casino and random number generator (RNG) games on the platform, including Age of the Gods series, as well as innovative new variants of Blackjack, Baccarat, Roulette, Unlimited Blackjack, Prestige Roulette and Casino Hold’em.

Exclusive Content Also on Deck

As reported by the aggregator, this partnership will expand 888’s premium content offering beyond limits and additionally strengthen its position as a market leader. The hub has even entered into multiple agreements with Pariplay and EveryMatrix to enter Portugal, Spain, Russia and Italy, not to mention EGT Interactive or Greentube earlier in 2020.

The latest partnership will see Playtech host an exceptional collection of branded studio titles streaming directly from a state-of-the-art Live Casino in Riga, Latvia. 888casino will also be featuring a selection of leading live dealer games and exclusive content from the provider such as Live Slots, Spin a Win and the newly launched Adventures Beyond Wonderland.

Guy Cohen, senior vice president, head of B2C at 888, commented:

“At 888, we are constantly looking for partnerships that strengthen our product offering and I believe Playtech’s Live Casino and RNG content will do exactly that. The new games will expand upon our existing suite of games to provide new, exciting, and engaging gaming experiences within a safe and secure environment. I look forward to welcoming Playtech’s content onto 888casino and growing our partnership together.”

Edo Haitin, CEO of Live Casino at Playtech, said:

“888’s significant investment in, and commitment to, the Live Casino vertical demonstrates just how important an entertainment-led experience is becoming for the modern player. Our partnership comes at a time when we are launching more new games and variants than ever. We’re delighted to be working with a market leader like 888 to deliver an exciting, innovative Live and RNG offering for their players.”

Commercial director at Playtech, Yori Arami, also spoke about the arrangement with 888:

“The new RNG content agreement means 888 will have access to Playtech’s substantial range of new and innovative online casino games, coming from its strong line-up of game studios.”

Arami added:

“This will include access to Playtech’s branded content including titles such as the Sporting Legends Suite and the recently launched Rubik’s® Cube, all powered by the industry’s most popular progressive jackpots. We look forward to continuing the successful partnership across many markets over the coming years.”

Outstanding Performer Still up for Sale

It has been almost a month since Playtech confirmed that a consortium of Israeli businesses and insurance companies approached with a takeover bid for Finalto, the group’s strongest performer in H1 2020.

According to the aggregator, Finalto had a very strong 2020 driven by exceptional performance. The brand generated revenues of €87.30 million, a figure that was 123% higher than the comparable numbers in 2019.

Phoenix Insurance and other members of the consortium approached Playtech with a USD $200 million in cash.
