Online slot specialist and iGaming industry behemoth, NetEnt, has announced a fresh new slot release in the eve of ICE Totally Gaming event in London to be held from February 5th to 7th.
The company began rolling out the Staxx game series last year, with the releases of Neon Staxx and Butterlfy Staxx. The very latest offering is a continuation of the series...
...as Strolling Staxx takes center stage and readies to dazzle the audience with its blocky delights!
Cube-Like Fruits
Fruity themes for slot machines aren't anything new, in fact – this particular subject matter hails back to the earliest days of slots, when they were commonly referred to as fruit machines.
So, in thematic regard, the latest title brings nothing new to the table...
...other than the fact that all the fruits are cube-shaped! A bit like those Japanese watermelons we've all seen (which is convenient, because there is a cube-y watermelon symbol!).
The game is a standard 5-reel, 3-row variety and, besides this new creative direction, it conceals one other major bonus: a colossal symbol that will, every now and then, land on reels and activate Strolling Staxx re-spins! Stacked symbols have the same ability, while bonus bet activation delivers more opportunities for players to land even more colossal symbols for more re-spins.
A Colorful Blast
Set in a make-believe world where everything is in the shape of a cube – even trees that create a vibrant background, the reels contain all sorts of fruits – strawberries, plums, lemons, cherries and more – as high-paying symbols, with standard letters join the fun as symbols of lower value.
Completely accessible via mobile devices just as well as desktop computers, this output presents yet another strong addition to the brand's growing portfolio. In the words of NetEnt's Director of Game Products, Bryan Upton:
“With its bright and playful fruity cubes, Strolling Staxx is here to inject a blast of colour into the middle of winter. Boxes of fun await in the latest NetEnt adventure especially for our huge recreational player base.”
2019 Already Defined
The Malta-headquartered company plans 35 in-house and branded game releases for 2019, to be distributed across all regulated markets where NetEnt is or will be licensed.
So far, they're on a solid path to making this objective work: Strolling Staxx is their second release in January, with the Art Nouveau-inspired Turn Your Fortune already out and turning heads (hopefully, fortunes too). The 5x4 reels, 40-paylines game features, according to its creators, “majestic grandeur, stunning collectable symbols and exciting game mechanics."

I played Stolling Staxx with free spins in Videoslots some weeks ago. The game is very quite, not like the one in the video clip :) The Extra Chance never comes in the regular spins. The colossal symbol and nudge feature is good. This game should have a multiplier like 2 to 5x for the consecutive wins, because it...

This is the third installment of the Staxx series and I think it is the worst game of the series. I like Butterfly Staxx and Neon Staxx was a nice experience as well but Strolling Staxx is a little bit different, pays not as great as it's predecessors, with other words it is a boring game. I could think they made this game rushly. No I do not like it and I certainly not a fan of this sTrolling Staxx.

Looks okay, although I personally am not big on fruity slots. I prefer Turn Your Fortune.
