Neteller and Skrill customers in select countries received a recent notification that the prepaid Mastercard won’t be available to them after November 25th. In the communication to its users, Paysafe Group, the parent company of the two payment service providers, warned of an upcoming restriction, which will see over 100 nations lose access to the prepaid card service. Countries like Australia, Brazil and others outside of the European Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) are preparing for the effects of such a drastic shift in rules.
Let’s take a moment to look at why this is so significant. For those of you using the prepaid Mastercard product for online gambling purposes, it puts a major damper on the instant cashout concept. Could such a restriction from two top payment services providers result in the exploration of Bitcoin as a viable option? Been avoiding this virtual currency? It may be high time to start considering the benefits.
For the online gambling community, prepaid Mastercards have made immediate withdrawals possible but the upcoming restriction will eliminate this option for customers in non-SEPA nations, with a few exceptions. The Neteller or Skrill withdrawals will be sent to accounts as normal but the money will not be accessible to the account holder with the prepaid card any longer.
On the flip side, Paysafe attempts to pacify its customers by maintaining the terms for balance transfers to bank accounts, which we know takes longer to process, and funds transfers between Neteller/Skrill accounts, which leaves us scratching our heads. How can sending the money to another Neteller or Skrill user help with the instant withdrawal of the cash? Your sister, brother and neighbor are subject to the same restrictions as you, providing they’re in the same country, that is. And if they’re not, well, that’s just silly.
The changes to fee structures have also been less than favorable. Are you guys starting to pull away from the use of these two e-wallets? Would Bitcoin be something to consider?

Neteller is useless now. In the EU we still have the Neteller mastercard to withdrawl, only problem we cant transfer to any site that is not tax paying government approved, And only can withdrawl/cashout to bank account. So why use a middleman and pay the fees when they take longer and take a cut for doing nothing....

I had Neteller when I was living overseas and without the card, there's no way I would've chosen them. It's a bad hand that they've dealt. No one is going to continue to pay astronomical fees without access to the simplest conveniences. Must be some master plan in the works here. Can't imagine why else they would makes...

Cant even begin to explain how annoyed i am with this!! Like mentioned, the instant cashout isnt such a big deal without the card anymore...was such a godsend when i won on the weekend through a casino who offered instant withdrawals, and being able to nick down and withdraw the cash right then and there!!! Even more frustrating no compensation for the loyal customers who deposit thousands through these accounts, i had to pay $14 for my card to be shipped, i waited almost a month and was able to use it for maybe 5weeks. Tell me they didnt know they were going to pull the card before i ordered?? so peeved off about it, when i mention compensation..Im not even suggesting a monetary value...even some reward points for the hassle would be nice, something is better than nothing! And the fact they lied when the little alert popped up on the page when logging in (dear customers blah blah blah, as of the 25th of Nov 2016 ur neteller card will be unavailble, we HOPE this wont be for very long and will inform you when the service has resumed!) something along the lines of that anyway....false hope if u ask me. so now ive gone and got myself an ecopayz account and card which i guess is better than nothing, but its not availble in my currency so i had to get it in USD (either that or EUR) the current conversion rate for both these countries is shot...so if and whn i do want to withdaw immediatley im goig to lose half my money! Bitcoin doesn't seem like an option thats going to suit me just yet, more of a pain learning the ropes really..plus u cant be guaranteed on the coin conversion there either!! Dont know what to do but sit here and be pissed as hell ...clearly they were losing money having the cards available for some of us, to make a skrill withdrawal to my bank costs $7.50 a pop its highway robbery....not impressed

Neteller and Skrill are surely not what they used to be.. Restrictions are up ahead and I think it will get even worse, especially for people outside SEPA. For those, I would recommend to run into the bitcoin community, the options are far better, moreover because of online casinos (reputable ones) accepting BTC as a banking...

I wonder if this has any (even remote) parallel to the bitcoin fiasco? I know that sounds a bit strange ( a little play on words there :) ) but then again stranger things have been known to happen! With all the different monetary systems these days, who knows? I completely agree with Froggy's comment about U.S. banks catching onto the bogus codes submitted. I just wonder how long it takes before the bank catches everyone involved? This might be a situation where take the money and run would apply? The bitcoin thing has really got me going.....hummm?

You could transfer the balance to a bank account or use it up when you make purchases with merchants that accept Neteller.

I've been using Neteller for the past several years and am really disappointed lately for a number of reasons. First they got a nasty hack some time ago and the site was down for quite a while, than they changed a look but along with it came higher fees and regular login problems, few weeks ago my account was charged 4 times for the amount I withdraw once (they fixed the mistake though after few days), and now this... Its definitely time for me to search for alternatives.

US banks have caught on to all the miscoded credit card deposits, specifically Visa, hitting customer accounts (like XYZCafe when it's really an online casino) so a lot of American players in unregulated states are turning to Bitcoin. The rest of the world has some other options available but the combination of these factors, including the new restrictions on the Net+ Prepaid MasterCard, could mean a rise in virtual currency activity. Anonymity is important, especially for gamblers in unregulated markets, and Bitcoin offers that.

Sometimes it's better to stay in bed. This is terrible news for people who use Neteller. In normal business communication, customers expect some kind of warning announced minimum 15 days before the action is taken. It seems this is not the case here. In my opinion, it will not reflect well on their business.
