Multiple brick-and-mortar casinos in Pennsylvania are scheduling their own online gambling projects for a summer 2019 launch, following the commencement of soft tests at Hollywood, Parx and SugarPlayHouse Casinos in mid-July.
At least six more places of gambling purveyance will be delivering these services to their clientele in the coming month, as a result of this year's gambling expansion law enactment by PA Gaming Control Board (PGCB).
PA Market Goes Online
At the beginning of this week, we reported iGaming tests beginning at three casinos...
...namely, Penn National Gaming's Hollywood Casino, Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment's Parx Casino and Rush Street Interactive's PlaySugarHouse.
Further info claims that Valley Forge Casino, powered by FanDuel, will kick-start its online gambling site this summer, alongside online sportsbook! Joining them in both endeavors will be Harrah’s Philadelphia and Presque Isle Downs.
For all three casinos, no exact dates for the launch were given – only that both gambling sites and online sportsbooks should be expected sometime this summer.
Two more venues – Mohegan Sun Pocono and Mount Airy/Fox Bet – also plan on rolling out their online casino and sportsbook, but these may be coming somewhat later in the year.
A Sudden Proliferation of Online Casinos
As for BetRivers Casino...
...no plans have yet been laid out for online casino launch, but they already have the operating sportsbook live!
On July 15th, Hollywood and Parx Casino began their first round of tests, with another round following the next day. Hollywood had a third round of tests on July 17th. Both venues should begin their regular online casino offerings 24/7 once it is determined that tests went without a glitch.
Rush Street's president Richard Schwartz commented:
“We thank the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, for authorizing us to be a part of history this week in bringing our online sportsbook and casino […] We are also proud to become the first gaming operator to offer the same online brand in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.”
Self-Exclusion Introduced
In late May, PGCB has introduced the self-exclusion scheme that will let players voluntarily choose between one or five years of gambling prohibition, or even lifetime.
It will act separately from the existing self-exclusions systems some casinos have...
...and it requires all online gaming sites to decline stakes and refuse gaming privileges to all individuals who are on the self-exclusion list.

Cool, PA is doing the right thing with this. After NJ, probably the state that is most serious about gambling.
