Part of Kindred Group, Unibet, has named Mika Häkkinen of Formula One, as its latest F1 BRAND AMBASSADOR. Known as ‘The Flying Finn,’ in the realm of racing, his reputation is a renowned one, having accumulated two World Champion titles. The announcement comes just in time for Melbourne’s opening race, scheduled to take place this weekend.
Häkkinen’s primary role as the new ambassador will be to serve as the brand’s F1 insider, unveiling a side to Formula One that the majority of individuals out there have yet to see. Additionally, he will also be tasked with supplying players with the latest F1 content and GP happenings, with the aid of a crew of specialists.
He commented, “Unibet is the number one company in the gaming industry, and it’s great to be a part of the team. In the world of Formula One and motorsports in general, there are still a lot of things that the fans don’t get to see. I’ve experienced it closely as a driver and nowadays as an advisor and team member, and now I also want to get the fans inside F1 together with Unibet.”
The 2017 racing season kicks off in Australia this weekend, and throughout the entire season will see teams as well as drivers participating in a total of TWENTY Grand Prix events. While it begins in Melbourne, the season will make its way all the way to Abu Dhabi by November 26th.
A significant detail regarding the 2017 term, is the fact that it marks the first time in which Champion Nico Rosberg will not compete, as he is recently retired.
