Mega Moolah Triggers First Jackpot in 2022 and Puts a Big Smile on its 70th Millionaire

If we take a quick look at Microgaming’s long history of jackpots, there is a great chance that we may lose count of how many times its WowPot series and other legendary progressive slots made someone burst with joy or changed their lives for the better.

The reason for making such a statement is another record-breaking online progressive jackpot on Mega Moolah, which has made one lucky player the planet’s first iGaming multi-millionaire in 2022, paying him a massive €7,296,286.88 prize.

As Microgaming reveals, a player hit the mouth-watering jackpot on its classic hit from the early 2000’s on 6 February this year. For the record, the latest lucky winner on Mega Moolah is the progressive jackpot’s 70th instant EUR millionaire since the game’s launch, earning him a seven-figure prize in one hefty sum.

For those of you who don’t remember the appearance of Mega Moolah on the market, back in November 2006, it is important to mention that we’re talking about a four-tiered progressive jackpot, boasting a top starting pool of €1,000,000.

Ever since the launch, many players have tried to beat this online gaming industry icon, which has paid out more than 18.4 million jackpots across all tiers, totaling in approximately one billion or €919 million, to be precise.

That being said, the original African-themed Mega Moolah slot has seen its fair share of landmark payouts and record-breaking wins for the past 15 years, making it one of the most popular titles in the entire world.

Back in September 2018, Mega Moolah made history with a milestone win of €18.9 million, which is the largest awarded prize on the game.
