Online casino operator, LeoVegas, one of the heavyweights of the industry, has gained a huge following and a favorable reputation, in part, thanks to their continued efforts to improve the responsible gambling environment on a global level. This is why some time ago they have established LeoSafePay, a responsible gambling initiative which was a branch of the company whose primary focus was to take care of players who feel that gambling has a negative impact on their lives. LeoSafe Pay takes care not only of LeoVegas punters, but is looking at the bigger picture and providing services to a wider gambling community.
On July 10th, it was announced that LeoSafePlay was given the status of a standalone business. Its management team has also been changed and reshuffled – from January 7th 2019 on, Richard Woodbridge will be the company's new CEO. Also, LeoVegas' Chief Commercial Officer, Rikard Ljungman, will be leaving his position within the company to focus solely on LeoSafePlay's ventures in the responsible gambling realm. The company's official statement reads: “LeoSafePlay will be run as a separate business unit in order to create the best conditions for the next generation responsible gaming system based on machine learning.” Company's CEO, Gustav Hagman, added, speaking about Woodbridge: “Richard's background and personality are a perfect fit for LeoVegas as we continue to focus on growth and sustainability. Overarching responsibility for operations is growing increasingly important now that we have some 750 employees, of whom 400 are based in Malta. LeoVegas is a data-driven company in which we use a number of key metrics to further improve ourselves and increase our productivity.”
Commenting on the appointment of Rikard Ljungman, Hagman said that Ljungman was one of the “initiative-takers behind LeoSafePlat and that he has the right enterprise to take the next step to make LeoVegas leader in reponsible gaming technology.”
Richard Woodbridge himself stated: "LeoVegas is the leading GameTech company in the industry, and I have a passion for working with fast-growing tech companies. I am looking forward to being part of LeoVegas' continued journey of growth and optimising LeoVegas' operations, with sustainability as a guiding principle."
Also, Louise Nylen will assume the newly created role of Deputy CEO of LasVegas Mobile Gaming Group. She is the former Chief Marketing Officer of LeoVegas and will be appointed on her new position immediately.
LeoSafePlay was launched in November 2017 as a platform that keeps players out of gambling related harm.

This is a great thing from LeoVegas, I dislike the casino myself because my account was blocked or frozen without prior notice which I think is very rude but that aside I think it is really great of them for doing this thing, players need to be protected and there are plenty players are addicted to gambling. This is a great thing from LeoVegas, I dislike the casino myself because my account was blocked or frozen without prior notice which I think is very rude but that aside I think it is really great of them for doing this thing, players need to be protected and there are plenty players are addicted to gambling. I hope more casinos will do the same thing as LeoVegas and make gambling a safe entertainment.
