Runner up Studio Makes Landmark Deal for Major Breakthrough

There is a milestone agreement in sight this week, as one of the youngest Swedish game studios, Lady Luck Games, has just announced a partnership with King Features Syndicate to develop branded casino content featuring Popeye, Olive Oyl and Flash Gordon.

The games will debut in 2022, as the Swedish slots specialist already works on the design of the world’s most popular entertainment characters.

Popeye to Reach Fans Across the World

As the report reads, Lady Luck Games has managed to conclude a three-year co-development agreement with King Features Syndicate, a unit of Hearst Communications.

As a result of this arrangement, players will see the likes of Popeye, Olive Oyl, and Flash Gordon appearing in slots across Europe and Asia for the first time. The Swedish studio will expand its reach to fans across the world thanks to the latest partnership and also grow its online casino game category over the next few months.

Starting in 2022, the print syndication company, famous for beloved comic strips, columns, editorial cartoons, puzzles, games and licensed brands will work together with Lady Luck and its math specialists to bring classic character designs to life in a unique gaming environment, whereas the first games should be showcased at ICE London in February.

We are extremely humbled and honored that King Features Syndicate has chosen an up-and-coming studio like ours to represent its hugely popular and world-renowned brands,” explains CEO Mads V. Jørgensen.

The chief executive is confident about the company’s working strategy and believes that the games that they produce in the following period will be entertaining in the long run. For Jørgensen, this is one of the most important milestones in the company’s history that will make a huge difference in outreach to both customers and players.

Vice president and GM at King Features, Carla Silva, has revealed that the cooperation provides a lot of potential for more world-known brands to join the agreement if it proves successful.

Silva is extremely interested in the online gaming category and looks forward to seeing many iconic characters starting a new life in video slots, primarily thanks to the impressive development expertise of Lady Luck Games.

Xmas at the Cabin Relaunched

Last month, the Swedish studio has made its festive slot available on the new RGSMatrix platform, powered by Every Matrix. Back in May, the provider has even penned a distribution deal with QTech Games.

Introduced on 25 of November, the title brings players to a winter forest, where small, curious animals closely follow them on every step and bring the colorful Christmas light glow along to create a holy atmosphere that would keep everyone cozy and lucky.
