Kindred Group, sports betting and iGaming operator, confirmed the launch of digital gaming and betting products in US state of Pennsylvania last week. This is another important milestone for the company that seeks expansion in the states.
This is not the first time Kindred is making waves in PA: in late September, it premiered its Unibet Sportsbook at Mohegan Sun Pocono.
Kindred’s PA History
Gambling operator was green-lit by the betting regulators on Friday...
...letting them present their online casino and sports betting products and services in this state. The Friday announcement came to no surprise, as Kindred was working on expanding their footprint in the US, especially in the states where sports betting is already legal.
Kindred entered Pennsylvania thanks to their deal with Mohegan Tribe that owns and operates Mohegan Sun Pocono casino resort in Wilkes-Barre. The two entities have signed an agreement earlier this year.
A sports betting book made its debut at the said property this September. It occupies 1,130 square feet and was the 11th sportsbook to launch since Pennsylvania began with the retail sports betting services in November 2018.
First Statements
SVP Kindred US, Manuel Stan, said of the launch:
"After a successful launch of our betting lounge, Unibet Sportsbook at Mohegan Sun Pocono, we are thrilled to take the partnership with Mohegan Sun online and bring the Pennsylvanian guests a state-of-the-art online gambling experience, including the best online casino games and an impressive online sportsbook"
Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment Vice President of Interactive Gaming, added:
"We’re thrilled to introduce to our customers an opportunity to place bets and game online within the state borders. Our sportsbook lounge is a highly engaging and joyful experience on-premises and Kindred Group are able to extend that experience online through our strategic partnership."
New Jersey Came First
Kindred’s online gaming is powered by Pala Interactive gaming platform. They have agreed the use of Kambi’s wagering platform earlier this year, for the purpose of digital sportsbooks.
The company has joined forces with numerous gaming companies in the US in recent months, after the regulation of sports betting has swept across the nation.
Pennsylvania is the second state in which Kindred launched their online products in. They entered New Jersey earlier this year, where they began their digital sportsbook and gaming operations. Their partner in NJ is Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.
