Back Hard Rock International To Open a Casino Resort In Barcelona

World renowned brand famous for its globally celebrated cafes, Florida-based Hard Rock International, has something particularly alluring in store for all of us casino nuts.

The corporation has announced on Monday that it will be building a brand new project called, Hard Rock Entertainment World near Barcelona, Spain. It will be a€2 bilion resort casino located in Vila-seca and Salou in Catalunya. The resort occupies about 750 square meters in area and its first phase should commence soon, under the moniker Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tarragona. This opening project, estimated at about €600 million, will see a 500 room hotel built as well as a World Theme Park. Also, a huge 10000 square meter area will be turned into a retail space with over 75 shops, a 6000 square meter pool and a live performance venue. Most importantly (for us, anyway) is the inclusion of a premises with over 1200 gaming machines and 100 gaming tables. This promises to be one of the largest Casinos across the entire continent, before the construction even began. This venture will also create jobs for 10000 people.

Hard Rock International's CEO, Jim Allen, comments: “We are honored to work with the Catalan government on the creation of Hard Rock Entertainment World and look forward to bringing first-class entertainment and hospitality experiences to the region."

Until recently, other bidders interested in this multi-million dollar venture included Genting and Melco International Development, all big names in the industry. However, Hard Rock International remained the sole bidder after both of their rivals withdrew from this project before the deadline for submitting projects on June 30th.
