Online casino games specialist, Pragmatic Play, is not taking a single day's break and continues to deliver games on a relentless basis. Their latest offering is called Wild Gladiators...
...and it's a pretty well-founded claim that you know what it's about based on the title.
What Have the Romans Ever Done For Us?
Ancient Rome was a civilization that span centuries of cultural achievements, architectural and literary milestones, the establishment of first global legal framework...
...but, alas, it was also a time of unprecedented cruelty, hostility and human viciousness, as depicted in portrayals of gladiators, the legendary slave-warriors.
These were the men that were born, bred and raised to become killing machines and, almost without exception, destined to die in the arena. On rare occasions, they would receive the Emperor's merciful gesture and be freed (Russel Crowe, as we know, didn't).
Imagery is All There, and So Are Bonus Features
In Pragmatic Play's Wild Gladiators 3x5 slot, you will encounter all the iconic elements that comprised gladiator battles in Rome's legendary venue, the Colosseum.
There are symbols of tigers (whom they used to fight as well!), racing chariots, shields, weapons and the duo of empresses and emperors, with their infamous thumbs up or thumbs down gesture, indicating the final fate of the gladiator.
Of course, it wouldn't be a proper slot if it wasn't for bonus features...
...and in that regard, we have the Super Wild Bonus which is triggered when a Super Wild symbol lands on the fifth reel. This prompts a visually stunning mode which adds a wild symbol to each reel and, if they land at the center reel, they expand!
There are also scatter symbols that will trigger 10 extra spins if you manage to land three of them in the same spin.
A Proud Tradition Continues
Pragmatic’s Chief Commercial Officer, Melissa Summerfield, commented:
“Wild Gladiators captures all of the impressive atmosphere of the Colosseum and puts players in the thick of the action with well-timed bonus features and an excellent soundtrack. We have a proud tradition of producing some of the industry’s most recognisable games, and Wild Gladiators exhibits our commitment to deliver fantastic game design and audio-visual excellence.”
New Steps Taken at ICE
Last month's London ICE event saw the brand roll out their live dealer games suite...
...which is underlining their “multi-product strategy, important in order to capitalize on ever-growing regulated market presence,” which expanded even further with the entering of the Swedish market.
In late February, the company unveiled yet another title with 50 paylines and a 4x5 configuration of reels. Safari King is an animal-themed slot with straightforward gameplay and bonus feature scheme.

Wild Gladiator is pretty nice. Mostly, the expanding wild always expand whenever it lands anywhere on the reels, but in this game, it expands only on the center position, so that I just thought that this game might be too tight, instead, the wild come more often than other expanding wilds. Anyway, you can get some nice...

I do like this game! I like this type of theme. These kind of themed slots are always lots of fun! Bonus rounds just add to the fun! I enjoy gladiator slots in general. They make you feel powerful. Ha! Nice to see gladiators doing battle no matter where it is. I enjoy the graphics and the bonuses.
