My readers help make writing these columns worthwhile.
Memories --- the good, the bad and the ugly -- keep those casino experiences alive. They help make up for the losses and they make sweet the victories.
One reader who signs herself JennaRox is especially delightful with her remarks and remembrances.
She recently wrote to me about an experience in Las Vegas. Her sister was pregnant in Orange County, CA. and she was in Vegas partying and riding limos while her sister awaited the arrival of her baby in California. Well, the stork came in early and her sister went into labor.
JennaRox needed to get to California muy pronto to be with her sister on this important event and Las Vegas didn't let her down.
Strings were pulled, casino executives got involved and she was able to get to the hospital in time to help her sister welcome a new infant into being.
I love it when my readers share their memories and thoughts with me and the members of this website.
Gamblers have many things in common. Heart. A desire to win. A willingness to take risks. Not being afraid to live on the edge.
My readers can relate to my casino experiences. And they have been sharing their own experiences with me, which I appreciate.
Gambling is not an experience that everyone appreciates. It is simply not part of their lifestyle, something I appreciate and accept.
But for those who are willing to take the risks, I welcome them aboard.
JennaRox, thanks for the memories. I hope your sister's child makes it to the final table. I know you will be in the kid's corner.

Oh boy, Geno, you are such a charmer. It's already such a pleasure to come here & read about your adventures, so to have you include me in such a way, I am flattered. :) There is so much more to the story that I left out... My sister didn't deliver that baby for 36 hours & they had to do an emergency C-section to save her!...

My sister didn't deliver that baby for 36 hours & they had to do an emergency C-section to save her! I could have stayed in Vegas at least another night! :) All of the time that little girl spent smashed in the birth canal must have compressed her brain into a concentrated version because my god that child is smart. She is a Junior in high-school, she has a 4.3 GPA, she has NEVER missed a single day of school, she will leave for Paris with her A.P. Euro class on the 24th of this month, the Future Physicians of America will honor her distinguished leadership at a ceremony in Boston this May, she scored a 1280 on her SAT & she is beautiful ... all of the accolades are the result of one thing! THE EXCRUCIATING AMOUNT OF TIME SHE WAS CRAMMED IN THE BIRTH CANAL GETTING HER CRANIUM MUTATED & RUINING MY VEGAS TRIP! She can pay me back when she is the successful Dr that I know she will be!
