That commercial casino industry has a significant impact on any country's economy, we already knew. Just how much, however - that is rarely revealed...
...American Gaming Association (AGA) has revealed in this year's "State of the States: The AGA Survey of the Commercial Casino industry" that the casino sector had a year-on-year revenue increase of 3.4% in 2017.

In this publication that analyzes the casino market in 24 US states, commercial gaming generated a $40.28 billion revenue in 2017. $9.23 billion in revenue tax money was collected by the states.
20 out of these 24 states have had casino revenues increased compared to previous period. More than anything, this signals a "strong macroeconomic trend and job growth in most of the country."
At this point, according to AGA estimates, the casino industry employs more than 1.8 million people in the USA and the casino industry's overall worth is in proximity of $261 billion.
Further Boost On Cards
After the lift of PASPA and the advent of sports betting, there is only one way for US casinos from here: up. More and more sportsbooks is being added on a daily basis all across the states as punters look to spend in this new form of entertainment...
...Multiple states have already regulated sports betting and made it legal, New Jersey and Delaware among the first ones. Punters are able to place their bets in casinos and racetracks.
Stacy Papadopoulos, AGA's interim CEO, commented: “This year’s report demonstrates the commercial gaming industry’s role as a job creator and revenue generator in states across the country, and we’re proud of the industry’s steady growth over the past few years.”

I wish that I could go to US someday and play in the casinos there, too :) This article is about the land casinos, and it is good for the employment as it is said. These days, some online casinos and bettings are introduced so it could contribute to employment to a certain extent. Let' see :)

It's actually a no brainer, of course if casinos advertise their products via television, radio, pamflets and/or social media, it will attracts people and most likely they will at least make one deposit. If online casinos are allowed to advertise their products here in the netherlands, I'm pretty sure it will also be good...

I didn't know things were looking so good in the US. Casinos are a good indicator of the economy, the better people are off, the more they will spend in casinos.
